It's a fantasy yarn i found in a local shop, it's a bit like this:

It's really a pain to work with as you can miss a stitch and then 10 rows on it's starting to unravel and you can start all over! Also it makes counting stitches really difficult, so it's a hit and miss most of the time. 

If I use them, I double thread it with a similar color yarn, but it wont be as nice as the hat above.
