Bottle Cap Trivit

I had been looking for a pattern for a trivit, using bottle caps.

 

As usual when asked here, I got a good response. 

 

I decided to make this one, as it is what I remember my Mom having.  It was fun and easy. The pattern is here at Best Free Crochet 

 

I used Aunt Lydia's Purple Ombre, as I could not fifnd Knit-Cro Sheen - Shades of pruple.  I think it turned out cool.

 

Tampa Guy says it is to pretty to use, so it is in the back.

Love this!       I started one of these a long time ago from an old Work Basket magazine when I first learned to crochet.  I managed to finish all of the grapes and I remember working on the leaves but I never did get it all put together.

 

You did a fantastic job!! It's beautiful!

I haven't made these in years. I have a jar of bottle caps that were intended for this pattern for a Christmas gift several years ago and forgot about them. Oops. Now the caps are probably vintage- LOL!
