Poncho for granddaughter

I made this for my youngest granddaughter, Maddie.  She turned 2 yesterday.  Her party is this afternoon, so that is when I'll be giving it to her.  I'm hoping it fits her. To me it looks a bit small, but she is a little peanut, lol.    The pattern is called TooDee Frutti by Vickie Howell.

Thank you so much!  She did receive it yesterday and I believe it will fit her, however it was just too hot to try it on.  DIL loved it though and will be sure to let me know (and hopefully get me a pic) when the weather cools down.
