Where to buy yarn in bulk

I have recently become a yarn junkie and I am teaching a friend to crochet and she is already addicted! I have never been able to afford to buy yarn in bulk even though it is more expensive but my friend and I are going to start buying in bulk and spliting the bill. I am so excited but where is the best place for us to look? Whih ebay sellers sell huge lots of yarn?

A bunch of us buy from Melanie on eBay at Fiber Options. Myself and a few others have also bought from Rodney from Rodney's Specialty Yarns (who carries a bunch of chenille cheap). Rodney is my fav, but Melanie has more selection. They both charge actual shipping, etc. I'm never disappointed.

Just remember yard per pound guidelines (these are my guidelines)

500 ypp bulky

800-1000 ypp-worsted weight

1200-1500 ypp-sports weight

1700-2000 ypp- fingering weight

O.K., do I have this right?2 lbs lion brand chenille, 870 ypp, 47.30 for 2 ld

OR

This http://cgi.ebay.com/CHENILLE-YARN-ACRYLIC-900-YPP-VINO-2-LBS_W0QQitemZ8217179931QQcategoryZ75569QQcmdZViewItem for 5 dollers

Is this the same amount of yarn? OMG, if it is I am never buying yarn at walmart again!!!

Basically, it's comparable. In that cone, you will get 1800 yards for $5.00. That is one reason why I buy all my chenille, etc. off eBay now. Only the specialty yarns I buy from the store (or the brands I cannot find anything comparable to online). Also, you can get chenille is 100% cotton too, which is great for facecloths, etc.

For a short time, you can get R&M Yarns at $1 per pound, minimum of 50 pounds. The reason is they're going out of business.

You can also buy cones from this place. She will send a sample book.
