The Woolly Hug (charity square)

This is the Woolly Hug square. It is 6" when using DK (light worsted?) yarn and a 4mm hook.

 

This square is raising money for a UK charity called SANDS (Stillbirth and neonatal death charity). They support anyone affected by the death of a baby and promote research to reduce the loss of babies’ lives. £1 of every purchase will be donated to this charity

 

This is a beautiful 6 inch square which would be lovely in any kind of afghan. The heart represents the love and heart which goes into making the square and the popcorn around the outside represents hugs.

 

It has already been used in making this stunning blanket which will shortly be heading towards the children's ICU at Yorkhill Hospital in the UK.
