Just finished testing this over on ravelry....I have been wanting to do catherine wheel stitch for a little while now so when I saw this pattern decided to give it a try.  The yarn used is lion brand cotton ease hazelnut (the darker color) and a mystery acrylic that is a beige with a  brown stripe that is nearly the same color as the cotton ease.  The crochet part was fairly quick as the bag is a standard size.  The lining kept me busy.  Mostly due to my sewing skills (lack of).  

 

First time using purchased handles,  Started with three different pairs and narrowed it down to one.....Thanks Drew, the crochet dude  the handles turned out to be the right ones to go with!.  still thinking about whether or not to crochet over them, kinda like the clear acrylic.

Very cool and beautifully made!  And I like the clear handles too - I wouldn't crochet over them.

Pretty! I haven't tried that stitch yet, but have intended to. I like the handle like it is.
