hooded shawl

Feywalker

Question

Hello all.

I'm really really looking for a hooded shawl. I've come across a hooded scarf and if I really have to I could try altering it, but I'm not quite that good yet. Can anyone help me out here?

Okay, call it one of my blind moments, but when i did the download it just read the title. Is this a photo? If so my speech program can't read it. i have had trouble with adobe in the past, so please let me know if this is a photo/copy or if it is my problem. i really want this pattern!

Brenda is it a photo copy of the page so your speech program probably can't read it.

Hi everyone...

I often get requests for the pattern for this cape - the link has

disappeared. I have set up a temporary link in yousendit.com.

https://www.yousendit.com/download/aHlReUNBcG81R05jR0E9PQ

Eventually, I will have the link back on ivarose.com in a section for

free patterns. This link is only good for 500 downloads - sorry, it's

the most that I was allowed to make. If you want the pattern and

this new link isn't working - please let me know and I will set up another one.

It might take a while to set up the free pattern section - I apologize - just been super busy, but it's coming, I promise!

Enjoy!

I found one more while looking throughcrocheted items on yardsellr, a Facebook feature: http://yardsellr.com/for_sale#!/crochet-cloak-full-length-pdf-pattern-743899 The pattern is a little expensive but it is a LOT of stitches. :)

Oh, I just saw the one Peggy/IvaRose provided the link for -- it is better! I like it a lot! Thanks Peggy, I downloaded it too!

I have a very old book with a crochet pattern for a hooded cape. The book is from Paton's and was copyrighted 1903. I have not completed the entire book for my site, but if you would like the pattern for the cape, I would be happy to send it to you. Here is the link where you can view it:

If there is interest, I can change this link to the entire pattern... that just takes a bit longer and I wanted to make sure that it is what you wanted. Remember, the pattern is from Great Britian and from 1903, so terminology will be a bit different than what we are used to today - but not impossible to figure out.

First, I'd like to Thank Peggy & those for all of their help in posting this cape. I have been searching for a crocheted hooded cloak for a while, that is how I found this post.

I thought I'd be able to figure out this old pattern, as I have been able to with others, but this one stumps me. As near as I can figure it is done in hairpin, but I could be way off.

Has anyone actually made this cloak as yet? Or can someone give me a few hints on the construction. I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you so much, and I am hoping that I can manage a few minutes to indulge myself within this wonderful web site.

Hi all...

I've gotten a few requests for the 1903 Crocheted Hooded Cape, so I set the pattern up for you all as a Microsoft Word file. Click Here for the pattern. If anyone has trouble accessing it, please let me know and I will email the file directly to you.

I want to thank you for this pattern(1903 hooded cape), it's lovely.

I just wish I could make it. Lol, I can't make heads or tails of the directions.

If anyone could help me modernize it enough to understand, I'd be estatic! I'm staring at 2 giant skeins of red yarn and have a five year old who wants a little red riding hood cape. Because mommy made her a hello kitty hat that she refuses to take off, she thinks I can make anything, even though I'm still technically a crochet novice. Lol.

Thanks!

I was finely able to access the pattern, but it is a picture of the text and being blind I can't do anything with it. If anyone ever retypes it, please let me know. I really want ot make this or have the opportunity to "look" at it!

Is this pattern still available somewhere? The temporary link has expired and I haven't found it on your website. It's a beautiful cape and I'd like to

make it for a Christmas gift.

Hi Cheryl...

So good to see you again - have you made anything from the Butterick book yet?

I'm still kicking around - I get so focused in my work that time slips by... another Crochetville member stopped by my site and asked where I had been hiding. I'm still here - just working hard to keep my site growing!

It's nice to be missed, though!
