15-inch Dora with a New Outfit

In March of last year, I gifted a niece a Dora doll that I could only find on ebay.  It took only a year to make an outfit  I started sometime last night (Friday) and finished at 5 in the morning.  I started using the Dora is My Darling pattern.  The pattern was a little confusing from the get-go and had some errors I didn't want to try to figure out.  So though I started off by making the pants in the pattern and started the top, I didn't add the sleeves and made a love knot shrug instead of the vest.  I made the hat from the pattern as well and then winged some shoes.  I was too tired to read anymore, which is why I was making things pieced from stuff I've made before.  Here she is, Dora in her new outfit, and there she is with her new mommy

Hi! I will try to see during the weekend. Mind you, I was making this throughout the night; so my mind was fuzzy as it was. I think I will try it again in other colors this weekend. Thanks for asking

The trouble with knowing what a pattern should do is that it makes it harder to see what it doesn't say?

No, I haven't.  I am working and also testing another pattern.  Once I get through the testing and have a break from work (like maybe Friday) I'll give it another try

Since I have not heard a word from anyone about errors I am just going to assume the pattern is ok.

 

I always say that my patterns are not for the faint of heart
