wanted large skeins of bulky yarn

Does anyone know where I can buy large skeins of bulky and super bulky yarns? I have an afghan pattern I want to make but I don't want to buy 15 skeins of yarn the price isn't the problem. I don't want all those connection points. Even if you do a good job connecting the yarn sometimes they come apart there. This afghan is a very intricate pattern, lots of lace and cable patterns. I guess I should say it is knitted not crocheted.

I know what you mean. I like 1 Pounders and cones for the continuity of color. Even when you choose skeins that have matching dye lot numbers, sometimes it's not true. What a surprise!

 

I've never seen bulky or super bulky in anything except the standard skeins we see everywhere. They might be available in the larger sizes, but I think you'll have to do a specific search to find out. I've never seen or heard of any out in the stores.
