Alice in Wonderland

A friend of mine had a baby three months ago and named her Alice.   She asked for an Alice doll for baby Alice and this is what I ended up with.  I doubled my flesh color yarn to make it even more sturdy and embroidered the face.   I am pretty lousy at free hand so her eyes are very simple.    Next up is the Cheshire cat and some doll clothes for her big sisters' 5 inch dolls.

Adorable.  With little ones, the simple faces are a great idea.  What I most admire though is the hair.  That is one of my biggest challenges.  It looks amazing.

The hair is usually my bug a boo too.   It took me literally hours and I did cut it a bit shorter than I intended to.  I got very tired of making hair pieces to put on.
