Thanks for your positive feedback. I am considering giving a step by step explanation but the task seems arduous at this moment because it would lead into a discussion about photoshop and other topics that are hard for me to explain. I am able to do it but its hard for me to explain how.

Just three months for that?? Amazing! I hopped onto the tapestry crochet board because this afternoon I discovered that the pattern I'm designing right now is, um, a little bigger than I'd realised. What weight yarn did you use for this?

 

Just watched the video, too. THANKS for the tip on using reverse single crochet instead of turning and regular crocheting backwards!! You have no idea how brilliant that idea strikes me as!

ETA: Not really, actually. I never understood fellow grad students who would talk about how they hadn't done [enjoyable activity they used to love] for ages because of school. How did they expect to stay sane if all they did was work??

I see more that 2 different colours for row in some areas.

I used about a total of 7 or so colors. Each row depends. On some I used more colors than others.
