I was inspired from another thread to give a doily a try. I've not made a doily in over thirty years, although doilies are the first thing I learned to crochet.

I found it a bit ackward trying to get the tension correct with the very thin thread and tiny hook.

The pattern is "Diamond Anniversary" from Southmaid book # 381.

Here's the finished piece.
