Singer Chunky Knitter

The other day, I paid $10 for this bulky knitter: It seems to be in great shape and everything seems to be included except for the manual. I think I can figure out how to set it up but I'm wondering if anyone uses this type of machine and was it something worth getting?

I hope it's in working order, it sounds like a steal if so! I've never used a knitting machine but it would be fun to fiddle with. Singer has manuals on-line, some free and some pay-for, you might check it out.

Thanks for the link to the manuals, Granny Square. Everything is in the case, but I need the time to set it up and play with it!

 

I'm thinking I can whip a hat out in an hour, which would be awesome, but that is only when I get the hang of it. I really need to practice.
