My baby afghan got a ribbon at the Puyallup Fair!

I just found out that my baby afghan pictured above, received a Craftsmanship ribbon at the Puyallup Fair today. I won't get to see the display until Sept. 21st 'cause I'm on my way to Reno for the Knit and Crochet Show...but I had to share 'cause I'm so excited.

Thanks teapot...yeah I really liked how it turned out. I actually started working off a commercial pattern, but cut the repeats from 4 to 2...then got bored after three diamond repeats, so turned it on it's side and repeated part of the cable pattern (on the sides) then...I created my own cable pattern that is on the outer sides...but then it needed something on the top and bottom...so dove into one of my stitch pattern books and found a braided cluster pattern...and then that wasn't enough so added ruffles to the top and bottom...this was not a straight forward type piece of work...it had a life of its own...I'm glad everyone likes...
