Hi Everyone, I finally finished the Crocodile stitch Baby Blanket on July 15,

2012 Sunday. But couldn't post it till they got it in the mail. I made the time

today to get this in Ravely and Flicker. Seems every day goes by another day

gone, so today I didn't do anything till I got it done.

Below are the links to my Thread Addicts, Flicker, Ravelry page.

It took me a long time to finish this blanket, Altho it is easy stitch once you

learn it. I learned it over on You tube as everyone was talking about it.. But

life just got in the way- alot just to much going on. Crocheted on it when I

could.

There are 97 rows. But you have to crochet 2 rows to get the Crocodile Scales

Effect so I actually crocheted 194 rows for this baby blanket. Plus 5 rows of

Front Post stitch and 2 rows of Crab stitch for the border.

The yarn is Hobby Lobby Baby Bee yarns and used Sweet baby line. Baby Cameo

Variegated color and Teddy Bear color.

The Border: Rows 1-3 is crochet using Front Post Stitch, I had 3 yarns -2 Baby

Cameo with 1 Teddy Bear, 4th n 5th rows 1 Baby Cameo yarn and 2 Teddy Bear yarn.

Crab Stitch 2 rows using 1 Baby Cameo yarn and 2 Teddy Bear yarn.

I did not use the whole 14 skeins. 12 Skeins of Baby Cameo, and 2 skeins of

Teddy Bear. There was about half left over from each color. I did buy 19 skeins

total. Always buy extra yarn as everyone crochets different. I did take 6 skeins

back to Hobby Lobby for a refund as I didn't use it all.

Baby James will be very warm during springs, fall, winters for the next several

years of his life. I picked this stitch for baby james cause when his daddy--our

nephew was little, he grew up in Florida around Crocodiles's and Lizards and

many more animals.

He is now married, in the military and baby James comes along. :-)

I used the same yarn to crochet baby James Baby booties crocheted in the form

like tube socks, they will adjust with him as he grows. He will get a little

wear from them to keep his feet warm.

Would I crochet this stitch again for the whole baby blanket…….no.

But I would use the Crocodile stitch on borders and trimmings--yes.

WARNING:

The Crocodile Stitch eats up alot of yarn!
