I'm so proud! Here is my first finished knitting item! The pattern is of the Star Fleet insignia, from Star Trek. The stitch is double-knit so one side is a "negative" of the other. OMG, that stitch is hard! I had many a snafu with this thing but I managed to either fix them or work around them. :whew

 

ETA a link to the original pattern ( http://offthehookastronomy.blogspot.com/2009/08/star-trek-pot-holders-free-pattern.html) I chose the colors to represent "Command Red" and "Engineering Gold".

wow, she's a mom, she works now, she crochets, designs, and now knits too!! Sheesh lady, I bow to your talents!:bow

 

Am I really that great? I don't feel that great. I'm just...you know...doing it.

 

Aah! Very cute! Excellent idea doing it in double knit, as well. It looks really nice!

 

Doing it in double knit was not my idea but thanks for saying something. :) It reminded me to add a link to the original pattern in my OP.
