Double Pineapple Doily

Recommended Posts

The double pineapple doily comes from a book called "Sparkling White Doilies" (Star Doily book 91) published by The American Thread Company in 1952. It was made with #30 thread and #12 hook. Measures 18 1/2 inches.

Linda, this is so beautiful, I love it!

I envy you gals that can work with #30 thread, my old eyes and arthritic fingers barely function these days to still use #10, lol.

So pretty, so fine... just gorgeous!

I haven't been around for ages, and came in to peek at everyone's doilies--very pretty!

that is beautiful!

Is this pattern available anywhere? I'd like to try it out myself. I doubt I'd be able to use #30 thread, but maybe the #10 would come out just as pretty?

Stunning! I also really admire anyone who can work with #30 thread. I can hardly even see it.

Just gorgeous...so nice to see work in the finer threads still being done...I can't do anything smaller than a 10 now. When I look at my old size 14 hooks I am amazed that I used to use them....
