Need help on writing a description for a "Made to Order" item on Etsy...

Hello. I was wondering what general things I would include in writing a description for an item on Etsy?

Make sure you put something like "You are purchasing a special order for this item" so the buyer knows they have their options. Other things to include:

 

-Photos of the finished product, in different color options if you have it

-Measurements of the finished product

-How long it takes you to make the item from the time it is ordered

-Possibly how to care for the item (washing/cleaning options)

Check out Etsy's forums. You should have access to lots of people there who can give you assistance with any general questions related to your Etsy shop. You'll have a larger pool of people to draw information from there.

I usually put "Made to order, please allow up to 7 days to be made and shipped to you" on my description when posting a new listing.

and of course if it's a pattern i've bought from someone on etsy I credit the shop.
