Entrelac question

Started my first knitted entrelac project yesterday (the yarn is sooooo nice and soft to work with! haven't knitted in ages and it just felt good to have it in my hands!) and I'm a little bit stuck.

I finished the first row of triangles, and the first triangle on the next side, and now I have to pick up stitches along the other side of the first row triangle (WS is facing me). I can't tell, though, if I should be pulling the yarn for the picked up stitches through from back to front, or front to back? I tried looking it up on Google quick and got two opposite answers. :irk
