Blackberry salad stitch

Hi!

 

I just finished this Blackberry salad stitch afghan/blanket for my sister in law.

I showed her a bunch of pictures and she went for this one.

 

 

I used mostly Hobby Lobby--I love this Yarn and some Red heart.

It came out a little bigger than I wanted, (6ft by 7ft) but I am happy with how it came out--I love all the little bumps!

Oh! That looks almost exactly like one I made for a dear friend's daughter--ages ago--maybe 20 or 30 years?! I made mine of the same bright colors, in DazzleAire yarn, crocheted with puff stitches. She loved it dearly and still has it to this day!
