Crocheted alphabet

Recommended Posts

Do you mean like graphed letters for an afghan or filet? There's bunches and bunches of alphabet patterns at http://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org/html/warm/catalog.htm

Do a search on 'alphabet' by using your browser's search function, probably control F.

You might also do a google search for counted cross stitch alphabet patterns, some don't quite translate to crochet but many do. Also search 'alphabet' on crochetpatterncentral.com

Another site has upper and lower case letters. I tried to post the link but I think are are too many hypens (-) in the URL. It is Learn how to crochet.com. When typing in the web address put a hyphen between each word from Learn to crochet. Once there, scroll down the list to Monogram Crochet.

I'm currently making some letters on graph paper for a project. I like to make different style letters for whatever I'm doing or I just look up free patterns online. There are so many different styles, from 3-D to almost script type ones. I make mine using a bobble or puff type stitch, alternating with half-doubles and single rows.

Anyone have a pattern for crocheted alphabet - individual letters. I seem to have lost my patterns.:think

Here is a pdf file of graphed puff stitch letters:

http://www.knit-a-square.com/support-files/crochet-alphabet-squares.pdf

15 pages, but has an individual chart of each capital letter. Hope this helps

Wonderful link! I've saved the file to my computer. I like the simplicity of it and it will absolutely help me when I'm making my own letters too.

I just went through my folder of Alphabet patterns. I'm a little obsessive, so I've turned most of them into Word documents from the jpegs. The alphabet pillows (and cross) are all in pdf format so they would have to be sent individually. Here are the links I've checked.

The Annie's Attic patterns are sold out. The pamphlet was Monogram and Lace Bookmarks and sold for $9.95. I didn't see a pamphlet number on it. Maybe you could email her and ask her to publish them again or look for them on eBay or Amazon. I made myself a back up copy.

Alphabet Block Pillows by Kimberly Lewis

After Googling, I found this link that has a few. A free membership to Ravelry will let you download the pdfs

The only other pattern is one by Susan Kranz, 1982, that I purchased. I made myself a backup, so I've never searched to see if it is online.

Happy Hooking
