Busy day here, work, several errands, picked up dinner (which I'm eating now) and in little while its out the door to a sewing guild meeting. i don't know where the energy came from but I hope it continues. One of my stops was the post office, I put 4 puffies in the mail, estimated delivery day is Thursday.

 

Owlvamp, I didn't find the yarn you were looking for at Joanns.

 

Kuddles, Saturday is the only day of the week that I don't usually go any place and I love my sloppy clothes and no make up day.

 

Yarn_monkey, sounds like you had a good time. I hope that puffy is the one I mailed last week.

Made it home from my dad's this evening to a big fat puffy from you! I received 6 beautiful, rainbow colored squares! I've got my phone on the charge so I'll post pics tomorrow! Although they might already be attached to my ghan, pending I don't run out of white yarn first. Thank you so much, cshort!! 

 

Katy, this brings me up to 16 squares. It was only 10 when I think I told you before it was 12. I finally got to check my list this evening.  I'll let you know if any others filter in... I know I'm always sending them late! 

 

Our 6.5 hour drive home wound up taking over 8 today! We got stuck behind a car wash (yes, a car wash) on the back of a flatbed tractor trailer in North Carolina and a state police escort was blocking both lanes for them. We finally got around them and another flatbed tractor trailer lost its load so they had to take I-95 down to one lane. I'm so glad to be home on my couch with my things and I'm looking forward to my bed tonight! It's a double bed at my dad's and we have a king here. I'll have so much space that I won't know what to do with myself!

Ive come to realize that even though I can party like a Rock Star, I can No Longer recover like one LOL. I celebrated a friends birthday with her on Saturday, and here it is Tuesday, and Im still not 100% ....... I have been drinking water and Gatorade and eating healthy food. Just still Soooooo darn tired.

I know exactly how you feel!! If something involves me being out past about 10, I'm not usually interested! Not in my PJs and sitting on the couch by that time and I'm not a happy camper. If I'm out late, I am in trouble for several days!!!

Almost forgot to take a picture of my squares from cshort but I remembered right before my phone went on the charge. Here they are! I already have my white border on the orange one and I bought more white yarn today so I'll hopefully get them all bordered tonight!

The pediatrician isn't responding to noises on one side (I think the left?) so we've got an appointment tomorrow to go get him checked out. Fingers crossed it was just him being uncooperative or maybe fluid or something that's gone now. After that we're going by the Dollar Tree because I've decided our bathroom closet is out of control with samples and little things so I need bins! prayers for peanut and for you. I took my daughter for a hearing test when she was little because she would yell when she talked. All the time.  And you know when someone cant hear they talk louder.  But all was fine she is just loud. still is

 

Been a horrible start to my week....  Yesterday when i left work i had a flat tire. Belt had busted through it. finally got another tire on it. got up this morning and it was flat. there was a nail in it. Went to see about getting it plugged andd they couldnt. the side wall had a crack in it. couldnt find a good used tire so we had to buy a new tire. 70.00 down the drain.  later this evening me and my daughter went to go get Ice cream and my car wouldnt move. while changing the tire they put the emergency brake on. it wont release. I get to looking around and there is a pretty steady drip of brake fluid coming from my car.......    My Pastor came over to see what he could do. He called a friend of his who is coming over to fix it tomorrow. When he tells me he is done and calls to tell me price I am supposed to tell him to call Pastor. They left and about ten minutes later they pulled back in.... Pastors wife came up to the door with ICE CREAM . a friend is coming to get me to take me to my client tonight at 11 so i dont have to walk that late at night and tomorrow my brother will come get me and take me to work. 

Praying tomorrow is a better day.

When we have those kind of days I feel it's just better to stay in bed. a few morning in a row our car wouldn't start. Hubby for it going again. giving you a cyber hug.

Daughters will be home from college today. Thank goodness ! I'm so excited and their here for the summer. Not sure what will do today other than relax and just be together. Of course I will still go through my scraps and keep the bigger pieces and continue to put the little ones in a box. I have a lady who wants them. So going to help her out.

 

I started another beach bag until I can find the other yarn to finish the other one or figure something else out. Still haven't found the yarn yet.

Just got home from work and I'm relaxing a bit before I head out to church. Our PTA catered a lunch for the staff today in honor of Teacher Appreciation day. It was BBQ from one of my favorite places and then loads of desserts donated by parents, super yummy! I hope everyone is having a good day.

Hey, hey everyone!  Good to see this place so busy, but it sure is hard to catch up, lol!  I've been having to take it real easy again this week.  My body isn't playing nice with me. No matter what I do my potassium won't go up.  This week it dropped way down, so I get 4 bags of hydration w/potassium, yum! LOL!  Ah well, it's keeping me going.  I haven't done much crocheting the past few days.  Spending more awake time on POGO.  I did work on a nice bright yellow granny square on the car ride today though.  I'm not sure how big it is, probably too small for anyone here unless I add to it. Hmm, gonna have to peek in my stash to see what would look nice with it and get it to a nice size. 

My dog used to take the mice away from the cat

Yep, Buster, the male cat, likes to catch mice and bring them to Juno.  It's too funny to watch. We'll here him coming with it because he has a "special" meow just for Juno! LOL! Crazy animals.

 

I bought this Bernat handicrafter twist cotton yarn at Joann's and I'm looking for 2 or 3 skeins. They are 12 ounces each.Name is freshly squeezed. Does anyone have some or when can look at Joann's. I've been looking on line but come up empty handed. Thanks in advance.

I don't get out to those places much, but I'll keep my eyes open if I do!

 

Hi all, a sunny sunday here... Headed off to Menards, an everything sort of store, like Lowes, or Home Depot.. I have a couple things to pick up, but that will be in about an hour....

 

Kuddles, glad to hear everything checked out.. Also,  keep lucky in mind as a wonderful memory, he apparently is well taken care of, but I can see how you would think about him now and then.....

 

Um  cshort, I KNOW, i hate putting make up on anymore, lol, such an ordeal, men have it so easy, don't they, throw on some jeans and a pair of shoes and shirt, and out the door they go!!!!!! I don't think it's fair, we got stuck with make up, hair, and shaving our legs, not even to mention, pregnancy, and child birth!! !!! sheesh, enough is enough!  

 

Hows everyone doing on the picking your own queen or queens, I have some puffy's ready to go out tomorrow maybe, if I get going early enough, you know, with the hair and make up thing!! lol

Oh Katie, you always make me smile!  I stopped wearing make-up and jewelry years ago.  I just can't be bothered any more, lol.  Hubby could care less if I wear it too so that helps.  As for the puffy's for our queen/s, I have a few ready to go.  Well, I might need to get some addresses, lol.  Good thing it is still early in the month!

 

Sounds like my parents' cat! She likes to bring things in alive so we can chase them around the house. She only leaves them outside if she's killed them, which I guess is a good thing! We visited in October and I woke up to blood all over the kitchen floor! Found out several hours later that apparently I'd been sharing the couch with a rat who had lost his tail in the fight. It was awful! Magic was beyond proud of herself. And yes, we found the tail later on the rug in the living room. It blended in! 

 

 

Oh! And I have a picture from the Lobster Races for you all... Let me tell you, the excitement was overwhelming! The second race, none of the lobsters even moved for a good 10 minutes! Finally one got close enough to the announcer at the finish line, so he snatched him up and declared him the winner! It was not something I necessarily want to go to every year, but at least I can say I went and even got the t-shirt! 

 

The announcer is in the white shirt on the lefthand side and then all the people putting their lobsters in their appropriate channels are on the right. First one to the finish line wins!! And as you can see, the Lobster Races are a big deal here!!

Ewwww, a rat!!!!  Yuck!  Thank goodness they have never brought us a rat!  A mouse, a mole and a snake (ewww!) that's enough!   OMG, the lobster races had to be a riot!  You'd think that living on the east coast that I would have heard of them before, but this is a first.  LOL!

Daughters will be home from college today. Thank goodness ! I'm so excited and their here for the summer. Not sure what will do today other than relax and just be together. Of course I will still go through my scraps and keep the bigger pieces and continue to put the little ones in a box. I have a lady who wants them. So going to help her out.

Hey, hey everyone!  Good to see this place so busy, but it sure is hard to catch up, lol!  I've been having to take it real easy again this week.  My body isn't playing nice with me. No matter what I do my potassium won't go up.  This week it dropped way down, so I get 4 bags of hydration w/potassium, yum! LOL!  Ah well, it's keeping me going.  I haven't done much crocheting the past few days.  Spending more awake time on POGO.  I did work on a nice bright yellow granny square on the car ride today though.  I'm not sure how big it is, probably too small for anyone here unless I add to it. Hmm, gonna have to peek in my stash to see what would look nice with it and get it to a nice size. 

Yep, Buster, the male cat, likes to catch mice and bring them to Juno.  It's too funny to watch. We'll here him coming with it because he has a "special" meow just for Juno! LOL! Crazy animals.

 

I don't get out to those places much, but I'll keep my eyes open if I do!

 

Oh Katie, you always make me smile!  I stopped wearing make-up and jewelry years ago.  I just can't be bothered any more, lol.  Hubby could care less if I wear it too so that helps.  As for the puffy's for our queen/s, I have a few ready to go.  Well, I might need to get some addresses, lol.  Good thing it is still early in the month!

 

Ewwww, a rat!!!!  Yuck!  Thank goodness they have never brought us a rat!  A mouse, a mole and a snake (ewww!) that's enough!   OMG, the lobster races had to be a riot!  You'd think that living on the east coast that I would have heard of them before, but this is a first.  LOL!

A rat would've been fine if it had been dead. Finding out I'd been sharing the couch with a live, tail-less rat was the kicker! The lobster races really were hilarious! Especially when they just decided they didn't want to race and the announcer ran out of things to say. I'd never heard of them before, but when my dad and his girlfriend moved to this town, I googled it and this was one of the first things that popped up! It was great!

 

Peanut's hearing test led to good news! Apparently normal hearing is at 20 (I have no idea 20 what! Lol!) and his left ear is at 25 so it's not quite as good as it should be but it's because his ear canal is really small on that side. My sister has the same problem. They said as he grows it shouldn't be a problem but at worst it would be very minor hearing issues that would be too minor to do anything about. Yay!   I fed him in the waiting room while my sister was filling out his paperwork and he fell asleep on me. Sister decided that handing him back to her wasn't worth it in case he woke up, since they wanted him asleep for the tests, so I got to hold him for the whole thing! He did a really great job, hardly fussing at all! I know if someone had been all up in my ears like that, I wouldn't have been nearly so calm! 

 

I'm hoping to get my squares from cshort attached tonight and then I can post pics of my so far 'ghan tomorrow!  I'm really loving it so far! Hope everyone has a good Thursday and I'll check back in tomorrow!

We have an assembly at school today, one of the local high school's step team are coming to perform for us. Which is nice but my kids will be off for the rest of the day with the change in routine and the excitement and loud music. Other than that its just a typical Thursday for me.

I just got all my squares out & will start attaching them now.. From  my count, I need approximately 5 12" squares in any color (I don't have many BRIGHT colors - I have a lot of Blue's & Greens)(WW yarn) & pattern to finish my FIRST Friendship 'ghan! I'm pretty excited about that!! 

 

I have a couple to send out to people so once I get some extra funds, I'll get some sent!
