Recommended Posts

Hugs!

Pattern added to my library! It's so pretty, gonna have to work one up!

Got blood test back, perfectly normal they said. :sigh So now waiting to hear back for the next course of action. I'm hoping my doc has a plan and doesn't refer me out to a specialist!

Homework grind today & tomorrow, going to finish up the term a few days early since the summer break got cut a week ...

I added my two squares I did as a test to Emma's post on ravelry.  One is cotton and the other is lightweight ww.  The pattern is very easy and quick to do.  I did two in about a half hour, and I am not a fast hooker, at least I don't thinks so!!!

Weather is very hot, in the 90's here, and lots of rain and storms.  Hurricane season is here, and I heard there is a tropical storm headed towards Florida this morning, so if anyone is in the path, stay safe and dry!

Will check in later!  Be blessed!

You got spoiled, and deservedly so!  How close are you to finishing your 'ghan now?  I think you'll like using ILTC.  It's one of my favorites.  Hooray for you!

What GORGEOUS squares you got. The yarn is really pretty too.

Just finishing school with the girls. My 14 year old is graduating 8th grade this year. And my 16 year old is on the road to graduating next year. If she goes to summer school (which she wants too) she will have all 24 of her credits next year. So now I'll just be stressing her passing the required tests for graduation. I'm working on a doll dressed in red, white and blue for my sister. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Ok ladies.... here it is:

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/felicias-flower

My first pattern! It calls for DK ( or light WW) yarn and makes a square of 6". If you want to give it a go, please "hook it" and post a pic so I can have a look. It has been tested but if anyone finds any errors, please PM me here or on Ravelry.

Took me a while to get the courage to publish it though. Was a little scared.

What a wonderful square!  I can't wait to give it a try.  Great design, Emma!

That is so pretty! I'm going to give it a go sometime, I have another charity that is looking for 6" squares and I've been looking for some new patterns!

Sorry I wasn't around much this weekend...ended up running around a bit more than planned and didn't even pick up my hook.  :eek  I did help my sister sew up my new skirt, so I did do something a little crafty!

Wow.  I love I Love This Cotton!  It is so much nicer to work with than others, but when I can't get to HL, I will get the other!

Hoping your migraine goes away!

Lots of bright and beautiful squares out there.  I guess I need to just take a chance and make some different designed ones!  I start them but then don't finish them.  Afraid I will mess them up and so they sit, half done.  guess I need to do what my nephew always says "suck it up, buttercup", just do them and send them!!  I will never know until I try!

Question for everyone about their blankets:

Do you crochet around each individual square and then join them together or do you just join squares together as you go and then do a border around everything?

I'm too lazy, I join them only....

and good morning!

Only Wednesday, feels like it should be Friday already! Busy at work, making me tired......so later!

Good Morning,

There are soooo many pretties being posted.

Thankfully things are starting to wind down around here, which is good because yesterday was rather aggravating. Today is the last full day for my students, I have invited the parents to celebrate with us this afternoon. Tomorrow is a half day for students and Friday is a teacher work day, we will be having our end of the year celebration luncheon in the afternoon.

I did get in some much needed crocheting last night which helped me to relax.

I plan to make this a good day and I hope everyone else has a good day.

I saw this first thing this morning and thought, "Wow, that's such a great idea! What if we all planned to have a good day every day? Obviously not every day will be good but maybe if we plan for it we can get through the petty little annoying stuff easier."

Planning to have a good day was a lot easier before the little boy tried to bite me the entire time I was working with the dog this morning, and I ended up having to take the entire doorknob off the bathroom door so the cat could get to the litter box because the door was locked from the inside and so was the window.

Oh dear! Your day sounds exciting. Mine hasn't gone quite as good as I had hoped/planned. I don't like it when people aren't truthful about things but the work day will be done in a couple of hours and my day will be much better.

Oh, me too, me too!  :yay I'm very much looking forward to getting out of here. Looking forward to putting the doorknob back on... not so much! :lol I'm just doing a lot of little stops to concentrate on breathing and trying to center myself and just get things done! I also pulled up a picture of the little guy climbing a new piece of playground equipment yesterday. He needed a little help the first few times, but by the time we left the playground he had zoomed up once all by himself while I was looking down at my crocheting! He was soooo proud of himself for being able to do that climb - but probably not as proud as I was! :D Those pictures helped drain out some of my frustration with him.

poor viking, lol being a mom, a good one, sure takes a lot of effort sometimes, lol but sounds like your "winning!"

honex, i guess it depends on the look i want for that particular ghan, sometimes I edge them, and thats nice, cause then whip stitching them together from the back, just looks so nice and neat.....and then sometimes I love the patchwork look of using a nuetral to stitch all the different colors together, which of course shows on the front, and makes it look patchworky, so up to you and your personal preferences,  I guess, have done them all ways, don't really have a favorite, just whatever mood im in!
