Pineknott, good to see your post, I don't have much cotton either, but i used what  i had, and I think it made four 6 inchers.

 

that was one ball of cotton, AND a tiny bit I had left over from another ball.

 

I did a square today, but it's not off my camera yet, but I will post it on the square a day thread soon, saw some pretty ones there when I was there earlier!!

Oh update,lol 6 weeks of recovery on sunday, paid off , i went to the store today, by myself, without crutches, or canes, or anything,even did a curb or two, so I think I am there people!! yay!! Longest dang recovery I can remember. Today the store, tomorrow, HOBBY LOBBY! ha he ha....

Seriously, guys. I am very honored to be this month's queen. Closest I ever got to being a queen was I got nominated in high school for homecoming queen but we moved before it happened.

Oh that literally made me LOL! And Miss Piggy... I almost died...        Thanks for that! And I'll need to make a run to the store, but I'll definitely get you some squares on the way! Those little babies are so cute!!

Hi everyone.

 

I'm still working on the baby gown.  But first I had to pack my bag for the weekend, I'm heading up to my daughter's tomorrow after work to celebrate her birthday. I haven't seen my daughter, son-in-law and grandkids in a month and I am missing them soooooooo much. We had planned to go to Typhoon Lagoon water park at Disney on Saturday but the weather is not looking very good for that so we may just be hanging out at the house and maybe out for dinner on Saturday. I had some white cotton and I picked up a skein of black today so I can get started on squares for our Queen. Guess that's about it for me.

Oh so happy they arrived safe and sound, in my recovery, I neglected some of my committments on square sending, as I couldn't get out, but hey, Im back, lol glad you liked them, they were fun in the making too!!

glad my sent out puffies are starting to turn up in their forever homes, lol I think i sent four out, and have heard from I dunno one of two, that they arrived,,,,,,hey, there's this strange bright ball of yellow in the sky, oh wait,yeah, thats the sun, been a few days since it has been here in these parts, lol so forgot what it was like, wondered why it was so bright out there!!

 

well, didn't make it to hobby lobby today, but tomorrow is another day,lol I went out, but handydan ws with me, soo needless to say, I didn't get to shop yarn today, but tomorrow, looks like a GO!!

hope you are feeling better sandra, and anyone else ailing or in pain or recovery, you know, lifes to short to be filled with that stuff!! Lest that is what they always say, that's lifes too short, for me, it's probably the longest thing Ill ever do!!!!!!!!!!

Not much hooking going on here tonight... DH and I went to Chili's for dinner (he actually said he's getting tired of eating at home - he was sure to start off by saying "I love your cooking, but..." Lol) and there's an AC Moore liquidation store across the parking lot where everything is 40% off but no coupons are used but he wouldn't go with me. He knows me too well. I go in for black and white cotton and will leave with a whole basket of stuff. He said Sister and I can go another day.   I can't argue with that! 

 

I'm going to try to get a couple rows done on a Sheila square and then it's off to bed. Yay Friday!!!

Hi everyone. Thank you all for the congrats. I see some are feeling better (yay) and some aren't so feel better soon. Love the square pics, very inspiring, I just need more hours in a day.

 

Speaking of which, whew what a day. I found out at 7 last night, plans with friend changed. So I put a crock pot roast on to cook overnight, made a cream pie, finished at 10 last night, got to bed about 11, up at 12 from the storm... forgot to put the car in the garage so ran out in the rain, got it in, back to bed, up at 1:30, electric flickering so had to check roast. Back up at 3 worrying about it so finally just turned it off, then up at 6 to turn it back on. Drove 45 min with it all to my friend's and worked on his computer for him while he told me all about the specialist appointment. His mass went from 1 cm to 10 cm and they want him back pronto for a cat scan. Last ditch chance, it's possible she could get him on a trial drug but no idea as it's not been used on his condition before. So thanks for the prayers. By 2, he was hurting so bad and all we had done was work on computer and go look at a house he wanted to show me. I can't imagine being in that much pain for so long with no relief. Hard to love someone so much and know there's nothing you can do to take the pain away.

 

Then, I ran some more errands and get home to find out I have a missing package and an important one at that!! It's stuck in Arkansas and I'm in Oklahoma so fingers crossed I can find a way to get it home tomorrow.  I did get a puffy in the mail though! Thank you much Miss Katie for the squares. Made me a happy girl. 

 

And apologies for the debbie downer, it's so nice to come here and see you guys all chatting and how things are going and know that tomorrow is a new day, with new joys, so no worries.

Good morning, ladies! Sopo, how cool is it that you're our newest bag lady AND this month's queen?! It must feel like an early Christmas. I'm very happy for you. I do hope you can get your package before it's returned to Florida.

 

Katie, a million thanks for the gorgeous square you sent! I will take a photo when the sun rises. It was my extended Christmas too because I received your puffy (plus I'm still on cloud 9 that I was last month's bag lady) and the results of the hearing reporter test I took September 6th. I ranked 5 out of 100+ participants. Whoop-whoop! I am praying that there's a spot available for me very soon. I'm just waiting for the beautiful hook I won from Furls the week I received my tote. The light at the end of this long dark tunnel is getting ever so bright

 

I'm off to catch a few winks. I have been crocheting up a storm! I will post photos later.

Oh, did get some new yarn today, Impeccable, in a few soft colors, lilac, and a sea green, and some light aqua, nice colors, hope it works up well, I only have tried Impeccable a couple times before, oh and I finished some texting gloves, several pair actually, so that is done, they turned out so cute, not as cute like Ms. Kuddles makes with thoe fanncy cable stitchs, lol but cute for me making them,!! lol

I wish I knew! I've seen ideas on using different internet programs but they never seem to work right for me. I'm sure someone has the key! 

 

Sopo, bag lady AND Queen! What a month!! 

 

DH and I are just hanging out watching TV tonight. We've got new shows to be obsessed with - How To Get Away With Murder and Gracepoint. I'm hoping to get some more hooking done and then tomorrow we're off to have lunch with my grandmother (no Peanut this time) and go to the Green Valley Book Fair. I asked them and they said they have 9 new crochet books, so I'll stock up while I'm there! If I lived closer (I'm 2+ hours away), I'd see what they had and see if ya'll were interested. I'll let you know if it's anything good. I can always ask my uncle to pick them up for me.

yes, Friday, for those of you that work, thank goodness huh!! lol

 

Im halfwatching Sahara, an old black and white with Humphrey Bogart, never ever saw it before, so it's something new to me, but why don't they colorize the old movies for goodness sakes!!

 

I have finished the fingerless gloves i am making for my brunch, they did not turn out like Ms. Kuddles, hers are soooo cool, but ... least i did two of the same things, the same this time, i started two of them, just plain ones in hdc, and sc, no fancy cables, unfortunately, lol and worked a few rows on one, then caught up on the others, and low and behold, they came out the same for me, so that must be the key, work on two, two separate balls of yarn, and two hooks, and go back and forth between the two, hey, worked for me, I might even tackle slippers or mittens now,  ha ha ha!!!!!!! (not)

 

We hae a new angel on thel list that for now, just prefers to send squares, she is Darlenecoover, so say hi to her if you see her about, and even if you don;t!! lol

 

Freeze warnings out for tonight, that means end of the flowers, and handydan moved the containers of Peppers, into the shed for tonight, soooooo Ill miss my flowers, they look so darn cheery, when you pull up to the house, but......tis the season, I guess...

 

well, that's about it, going to lie around now, and maybe finish this movie, and then hit it for the night, so take care all, have a grand weekend!!
