I can see the football *g* hey, it's not bad. Could be just the pic but the left side looks more like a football then the right side, could be where you got the baked potatoe lol. Besides, once the little one plays with it some, it's going to get all sorts of funky shaped right? I read on your blog that you are planning to do another one... I usually find my second time things come out better than they did the first time. I still think this looks pretty good for a first attempt. :)

Thanks, and yeah the one side is a bit off.

If you work with it enough both sides look ok but the first time he plays with it... potato lol

Second time usually works better for me too. Especially when not working with a pattern.

Your grandson is gonna love it just because you made it for him. One suggestion though, maybe if you put the white stitches in the middle and then the white stripe around the ends it would make it look more like a football to you.:flake

It looks good to me, Kari, and I'm sure your grandson won't notice if it's shaped a little "off". Besides, it's fun to throw potatoes too. <img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/rotfl.gif" />

I plan on another one anyway, I was going to add the lacing to the next one I made.

Of course the thought has occured to me... they have that hot potato game in stores..... I could just tell him it's that :rotfl

Thoughts to keep in mind if I find I dont have time to make another hehe
