yeah it's quite different going back to the south, with a deeper history than here in the NW..but even a bigger shock to go to Europe. Took a train while in Hungary and our interpreter is talking about ruins that were muslim about 700 years prior Hard to wrap the brain around something like that when the oldest things in the US are not much over 200
