Crochet World Headband Pattern

I was at Coldwater Creek the other day and saw a scarf I LOVED. Since it was crochet, I could not make myself buy it, thinking I could make one easy enough. Well, Crochet World just made it so much easier, I couldn't believe it! This might not seem a big deal, but it was so coincidental, it was like an answered prayer for me! I wanted to figure out how to make the scarf and BAM -- here it is in Crochet World!

 

Crochet World has a Cabled Headband pattern in this month's issue (http://www.crochet-world.com/webbonuses.php?id=95). I can use this pattern and make it into a scarf, instead of a circular headband, then add the tassel ends on it and it will basically be the same scarf I was loving at CWC! (CWC Scarf: http://www.coldwatercreek.com/product-detail/59338/65870/marbled-cable-scarf.aspx?colorid=F14&refLink=accessories/view-all.aspx -- look at the one in Ivory to really see the similarities!) I'll use a yarn a little more like the one I saw in the scarf at CWC, and I think I will have it! I know I could buy it for $25 (they have a 30% off everything in the store sale going on now) but then I couldn't have the fun of making it. I love it when a plan comes together! (My DH used to say that a lot. I got such a kick out of it when he would be tickled over things falling into place. Good memories!)
