baby afghan #1 for friend in NY

I made this afghan for a friend back home in NY.. her Stepson and his Girlfriend are having a baby girl this month sometime.. and I made these for her.

the Start one is a pattern from a tear off at Hobby lobby.. I think it's a bernat pattern

 

The other is sorta my own. I just used V stitch and SHell stich. and used my own color combo.

 

my yarn is bernat sport 1 pounder n I forget the other but it's another bernat yarn. I am finding that I love bernat!. much better then RHSS!!!..
