Those Crazy Birds!

I get ideas and inspiration from the products on Anthropologie's website. But whenever I go into their local stores, I'm disappointed. The jewelry that looks pretty classy online looks kinda cheesy for the prices, and the actual items never look as good "in person."

That purse doesn't look nearly as well made as the Knotty Male's.

Thanks again for all of the positive comments :)

This tesselation motif came from the book titled "Hard Crochet" by Mark Dittrick. The orginal design is a basket. Here's an image http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/0801532809/ref=cm_ciu_pdp_images_1?ie=UTF8&index=1

Here's another bag made from the same motif - lunch sack sized :hook

The book is beginning to become hard to find as other TC'ers see the pattern and want a copy of their own. My book was so old that the binding cracked into 2 pieces the very first time I opened it. I think the book was published in 1978.

I've made one tesselation motif that is my own design. It took me 6 months and I made several mistakes before I got it right :whew

I'm a bit suprised that there were so many more that saw the blue ones first. Guess I thought it would be a bit more even. Every time I look at it I always see the yellow ones first.... amazing how people see things differenly :)

That is georgous! AMAZING! I saw the blue birds first, the the yellow ones only after I looked again.

Love this bag. I have only tried tapestry crochet once in a sweater I made quite a long time ago. I saw the blue birds first. Unique design.

WOW! :rock Amazing! Bag! I saw the blue birds until I read the question about the yellow birds. It reminds me of the puzzles from psych class way back in high school. Is this bag an example of tapestry crochet? Tapestry is on my neverending to-do/to-learn list. Again, GREAT JOB!
