My (sub)Lime stash bag

I bought a huge stash this past weekend from my son's trumpet teacher. At the suggestion of a fellow raveler and crocheter, I made a stash bag from my favorite stash bag pattern. Using some vintage dazzle aire from Caron® and this pattern from the Purl bee, I made this bag and filled it with stash. You can read about this adventure here.

I really like the idea of crocheted bags to contain my stash. I just grabbed the pattern and plan to make a few. I'm wondering how much yarn (yardage wise) you think it takes for one of these bags? I'd like to use some of my handspun yarn but I don't know if I have enough and hate the idea of starting and then having to frog it. Maybe I should use some acrylic for the first one to get a feel for it.

I think I used to have that same Dazzle Aire yarn, same color! Cool bag. I would need about 50 to hold my yarn stash.
