grips on handles of hooks?

are there inexpensive things we can put on the handles of our hooks to make them more comfy, and less slippery?

I have these and they seem to help. It's a cheap and temporary solution (atleast for me)

I have used those same grips and they work pretty well for me. I don't use them all the time though.

A friend of mine found an inexpensive way to adapt her hooks. She purchased pencil grips which are sold in school supplies just about anywhere. A box of these is a couple of $. She put 2 on each of her hooks.

It makes them easier to hold and she says warmer to her hands. They

come in mixed bright colors.

I use the blue foam cushions and a gelly pencil grip for the thumb rest.

I have Fibromyalgia. Small crochet hooks make my hand cramp.

 

Take about half a 79cent package of polymer clay, knead it until its workable. Wrap it around the length of my hook. As I crochet, it forms to my hand. Simply bake it using the directions on the package.

 

Some of my hoods look kinda odd but they are comfortable to use.

Have fun mixing the colors and making designs.

 

Be sure to use a aluminum hook. It is permanent. Be sure to identify the hook size. I forgot this.......once.
