dish rags

Recommended Posts

My sister and I are making dish rags for our family members for Christmas this year. Here are the first four that I've done so far. As I finish more, I can post more pictures.

These are made using the crohook and two strands of cotton.

Very pretty and they look like they have some great texture too! (Very important for a dish cloth!) I am including a couple in each Christmas basket I am making for family members too. I have some other kitchen items as well. Everyone loves the crochet dish cloths and scrubbies. They tell me they look forward to getting new ones at Christmas. :)

Awesome! And yes, too pretty to be "rags".

those are very nice. what is the name of the stitch?

I call it the "flat stitch" on the crohook. I don't know if it has a specific name or not. It makes a nicely textured, non-holey dishrag.
