First day of Kindergarten poncho

Today is my oldest daughter's first day of Kindergarten. I made her a poncho which she really likes. It is made out of Red Heart Baby Clouds in Creamsicle. I only had to use one skein for the whole poncho, and I found that skein on clearance for only $1.99! I think I would wear the poncho myself if it were my size. It is so soft. Love the yarn.

I got this skein of yarn from Ben Franklin. Our nearest Wal-Mart is about 90 miles away, so I do most of my yarn shopping here in town at Pamida and Ben Franklin.

I have made two or three ponchos for myself out of Baby Clouds. Use the pattern on Lion Brand website for a homespun poncho and it works up wonderfully. It's so toasty in the fall

Thanks again. I have to laugh at my daughter's fake smile. My camera battery was blinking, and I knew I had to take the picture fast. So, I caught her with a, "OK, Mom, I'm smiling," smile on her face.

Awww! How sweet. I have kn*tted three ponchos for my nieces (and two 'matching' doll ponchos) out of the Baby Clouds, one pink, one blue. It was kind of hard to see what you are doing, but worth it for the end result. Nice job!
