first attempt at wire crochet

I had found a couple steel hooks on clearance at Joann's and bought them. 2 were the same size and I decided that since I didn't need 2 of the same size that I could tear one up using wire. It wasn't to gauge since the wire was pretty stiff, but I like the end result!

 

I think the main rule I've read is to use hooks you don't plan to use with yarn (and definately don't use wood)

Ooh, I love that. I've been looking at a wire crochet book, may have to get it. Those would make nice gifts. Great job.
