Our crochet group is sending scarves overseas to our troops - these are the 11 I made

The programs whose requirements I've found require 100% wool due to its insulating and flame-retardant properties. Are yours wool, too? What program/address will they be sent through? (Because I know that, with all the security stuff, support from unknown/unauthorized addresses pretty much will *not* be delivered, sadly.)

The programs I've seen also require 100% wool too.

Our group sends to family members from my development. We were never told about the type of wool - only dark colors - 9" x 60"

I saw requests for scarves on anysoldier.com

The requests come straight from the service men and women. They didn't have any requirements. They just want them for when they are not in uniform.
