Baby Afghan

I have asked for some of the pics of gifts I have given and this is one from my cousin of an afghan I did when her daughter was born. It is now 23 yrs old and this is the pic she just sent me of it .. she's taken very good care of it !! Her daughter is now having her first and asked me to do one for her baby.

I did this afghan 23 yrs ago and then it was a free pattern from Caron when I bought yarn directly from them. Don't know if they have the pattern available now anywhere. that was in back in the early to mid 80s. When I come across the patterns i will sure let you know. I try and keep the patterns of all the work I have done, but the file cabinet is packed!

Ah, bet that made you feel good that she took such good care of it all this time! I think she should let her daughter use it for her baby! YShe could start a family tradition of babies using the same afghan. But then maybe she enjoys looking at it as her own keepsake memory! You did a nice job on it! Still pretty!
