help with decreasing ><

I've been crocheting on and off for about 12 years, and recently got into amigurumi.

Now, increasing, thats easy, but when i decrease, im just never satisfied, you can easily see where the decreased stitches are, and i think it ruins the look of what im making

 

Anyone got tips or techniques on better-looking decrease stitches?

I try to make my decrease stitches a little looser than the rest of my work. They seem to blend in a bit better that way.

I totally agree with invisible decrease, which I had never heard of (and obviously never used) until I read the Idiots Guide to Amigurumi. Everything else in the book was cake, but the price I paid for the book was worth it for invis decrease I'm using it in the piece I'm working on now and its awesome.
