I think I have seen a thread crochet bedspread in one of my favorite TV shows. In season 6 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Willow and Tara are staying in Joyce's old bedroom and on their bed there is this lacy cover that looks like thread crochet. I'm gonna have to go back and see, but I think in the beginning it only covers half and is attached to a piece of fabric on the bottom half, but halfway through the season it covers the entire bed (whups!).

What's the verdict? This has been buggin' me for awhile. Is it crocheted? Thanks!
