I was asked by a friend at church if I could make a poncho for her granddaughter.

I had made 2 of these last year and she liked the idea.

Hunting for the button took almost as long as the poncho... lol.

Enjoy!

Just got a picture of the birthday girl, she loved the poncho too.

Nice work! :) Was it your own design as well?

And I beg to disagree with the "Scrapinator" idea: these colors look planned and very well put together.

Be sure to take a picture of the little girl wearing it for your own records. She won't fit into it all that long....

The design is an adaptation of the 2 rectangle style poncho. The Tunisian stitch pattern was used by ARnie of my Tunisian group to make scrapghans.

The pattern is quick and makes a nice dense fabric for any application.

The colors were chosen by my friends daughter, so you are right! I didn't get to use up any scraps on this one. :lol

Wow!! That is so pretty!! I just love the two colors--black & pink!!:)

I know the yarn looks black in the picture, but it really is Vanna's Choice Navy blue. :)

The pink is Vanna's Choice Baby soft pink. I think :think
