I promised a picture of the bear when I finished, and here she is.  I added flowers and lady bugs to the skirt.  I like them better than the original pattern.

This is such an easy pattern.

I just started to knit.  Signed up for Kim Guzman's class.   The continental method is easier for a leftie like me.  Although I crochet with right hand.

I have 20 rows of continental knit stitches-just practicing.

what pattern did u use for potholder? yarn?

Cindy- those booties are adorable.

MaryJo- The bears you have made are so cute--and they look hard to me!!

I'm just learning to knit. I've got the knit and purl down now. Finished a cover for my Nook- it's got mistakes, but I'm referring to them as design elements :lol

Im going to make a pair of fingerless gloves next- very easy pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/easy-fingerless-mitts-3

That nook cover is great.  As for the bears if you can knit and purl, you can make them.

Love the fingerless mitts.  Can't wait to see them.

Joanne, you use ww cotton yarn and lots of easy potholder patterns.  Lion Brand has several for beginners.  Here is one I thought you mihgt like: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/kkc-pot.html?noImages=

I love these tiny booties!!!

And the bear is fantastic! I guess it's also so soft and perfect to hug...

And as for me, the dishcloth and the Nook cover are huge success!!!

Adorable recent project photos! I really should make a cover for my Kindle like imanurse's Nook cover.

I've been working for a couple of weeks on my first real lace weight project, the pattern High Tides. I'm making it in some gorgeous Cascade Hand Painted Lace in this gorgeous blue/green colorway. I had bought a skein last year for trudem for a 'ville swap, and loved it so much I went back and bought myself some. It is slow going since I'm a lace novice and the yarn is so thin, and my weekend was wasted with a bad head cold, but I'm almost half finished, and I think it's going to look really nice.

I am working on first knitting project-slippers

Good luck with them.  Most important thing to remember, is always keep a crochet hook next to you, in case you drop a stitch. :lol

Well, I set aside the winter scarf I was working on... So that I could work on:

I picked up some beautiful, colorful Norwegian yarn (Nordlys). I'm about 1/2 way done. It's very easy, and fun to do. The designer, Anne Hanson (knitspot), has so many lovely patterns on Ravelry.
