Looking for a KUFI hat pattern

Question

Looking for a KUFI hat pattern for ALL ages..

 

Just having a hard time making one using my thread cos usually the patterns offered online uses yarns and I'm not used to working with those and I'm also more comfortable with thread.

 

The problem is the measurement..

 

I can't seem to make one..

 

Hope you could help me. :think

This is the first free pattern I found when using Google search. You will have to look at the gauge this pattern gives and use your thread and hooks to bring it to guage and then go from there. This pattern looks like you could make the middle and then keep adding rows until you get the size and fit you like for your own head(adult size) and then look up other hat patterns to get the size for other ages and go from there. You also might try using two strands of thread and maybe a "C" hook....good luck and it is a cute hat pattern.

Hi was wonder in your first link on Kufi Hats the pattern require 100 cotton yarn do you think it is possible to use worst weight or Acrylic yarns?
