Crochet pattern different color

Recommended Posts

I recently found a really pretty pattern for a blanket, but I don't really like the colors the creator picked. I was wondering if there was a website that changed the colors of your picture. It is an intricate pattern, so I don't trust myself to pick the colors. Any help would be appreciated!!

Interesting thought!... I haven't seen anything like it out there. Let's see what other's suggest.

Good luck with your project! I'm sure it will be beautiful. :manyheart

Thats' a pretty design. I don't care for the colors either. I'd suggest picking 4 colors that you want to use and make a few sample squares to see how the colors could be arranged. Vary the color placement on each sample and see what you like best.

On Ravelry there are about 16 different colour versions of the Joyous Squares blanket, if you're not already a member I don't know if you can see the pics but here's a link just in case

I know there's a color generator site out there. I had it bookmarked on the old pc that died. now I can't find it. it might be buried on the laptop...(looking. nope not there.

hmmmm

Aha! Found it! http://colorschemedesigner.com/ You can use this one to select shades of one color, 2, 3, 4, etc...complementary or contrasting...very very helpful :U ( It even has a tool to show how something might appear to a colorblind person, in various types of colorblindness. )
