The problem is that you lost a ton of qualitiy when you shrunk it. I hope you don't mind, but I went into Photoshop and tried to copy yours but make it better quality. I didn't have the same font, tho. Anyways, here is what I came up with:

arrrrrrrrgh! Why why why dost thou tempt me???? Due to uncontrollable urges to really sit down and crochet and to enjoy the idea of being in another swap.....I argued with myself and lost. Count me in. But please be a bit patient with me.

I can't take it. I can't resist any more. I was browsing the crochet pattern central links for purses/totes, and there are so many cute ones I could make. I'm in. I'm going to fill in my survey now. :hook (oh and the fact that katchkan joined was major incentive as I love her work:lol )

I got a new purse/bag pattern book today to get me all ready for this exchange. :)

We have 22 people signed up so far....and probably a few more before sign up deadline on Sept 25th! This exchange should be a lot of fun!!

The blog button for the exchange is posted on the 1st message now for anyone who wants to put it on their blog. :)

I emailed a couple of people needing more information from them before I can assign partners to them......if you got an email, just get me the information by September 25th. :)

Hugs! Juli

Do we need to line them? Cuz I'm no good at sewing...

Do they have to be felted? I'm allergic to wool, so felting is out for me. But, I'm an excellent seamstress, so lining will be a breeze. :)

No, they don't have to be felted. :) And when you get your partner, just email them to remind them not to use wool. :)

Oh, good! I have so many ideas. My latest that I'm thinking of is doing a granny square that has a daisy in the middle, joining them to make 2 squares and then crocheting a bottom and handles. I've started them, just to see what it looks like. I realize my partner may not want that, but I'm having fun making things up. :)

Well gals....we now have 29 signed up for the exchange! :cheerI have sent out a couple emails asking for more information from a couple people. Just get the info to me by the 25th signup deadline so I can assign you a partner. :)

Faith, we'll be doing another purse/tote swap in the spring.....so you can jump in on that one if you don't feel up to an exchange right now. :)

I went and looked at Dot's site, and sure, if your partner wants a small bag, I think that would work perfectly. Very cute!! :)

It would also make a nice surprise to put inside a larger bag if your partner would like a larger bag. You can still whip up Dot's small bag and send it inside a larger bag and SURPRISE your partner! Who wouldn't love to find something actually already INSIDE their bag, don't you agree? Now I'm getting ideas from that....:hook

Ohh.. this sounds like fun!! I'm filling out the survey right now :cheer

I do have a few questions though :D

Do the purses/totes have to be lined? :think I can't line if my life depended on it. Past experiences have proven to be tragic when it comes to sewing without a sewing machine :eek

Do I have to spend a certain amount on yarn? How much? Since our wedding date has been moved back to a more convinient date for everyone, I can loosen up on the money and do something a little more fun and relaxing :devil

Hi Wendy! Glad you joined us!

No, you don't have to line them. Your partner can always line it after she receives it. I'm not all that great with a needle and thread either! I tend to sew my fingers more than the fabric. :eek

No, there is no spending amount set for the yarn for the exchange. You will get an email with your partners preferences once I assign partners. It really depends what sort of bag you make and the size, and whether your buy yarn especially to make your exchange bag, or use something already in your stash.

Hugs! Juli
