Marissa's African Flower Afghan

Just finished this for my granddaughter, Marissa. Its the African Flower hex pattern and my arrangement. The edging is one row (pink) of sc and 1 row (purple) of sc,ch3,sc in every other sc around

Very pretty! I like your departure from the conventional use of multiple colors with that motif -- with the "twinkling stars" surrounding the large flower motifs. It demonstrates how versatile the pattern is.

Thank you! Its an amazing pattern! So versatile! Doing them a little differently makes them look completely different from the original pattern. There is one on Ravelry that was done in the back loop of one of the rounds and it makes the flower stand out really nicely!

That's just beautiful..I love the way the blue stars seem to float around the hexagons. Amazing how different the pattern looks when done in two colors.
