Be honest. What are these?

I came up with an idea for a design for a baby blanket. This is the first attempt, so gauge is wonky but I can fix that. I showed it to my (non-crafting) husband, who was perplexed by it. He's generally perplexed by stuff like this, though

 

So my question to you is this: What can you see in the picture? What are the green things?

When I did mine (really similar to yours but different) my husband couldn't see it either. Sometimes I think there's just a part of their brain that's missing. Men.

The minute I saw them a thought hearts The only thing that made me question it was that they're green and I thought well maybe shamrocks but they look like hearts.
