That's pretty. I put it in the search and found it on Wendy Sunshine Creations site. It also has whipup.net in the address. If you can't get it from this, put it in the search, and you'll find it.

I've searched high and low for a free version of this pattern and I can't find it anywhere... eventually I'm going to suck it up and buy it because I'm in LOVE with how it looks :)

it looks sort of like a form of join as you go, like w/ the granny squares where you join in the ch 1 spaces between the 3dc's spaces before finishing the rnd. (clear as mud?)

its amazing what you can do w/ something as simple as a yoyo/granny daughter. saw where 1 wmn made a form of graphghan w/ them (similar to the granny squares from happy yellow house) and used the tail to join. some way kewl images.

Is there a free pattern for making yo-yo's and joining them that would give you this result?

free-crochet.com has one pattern from Wendy's book http://www.free-crochet.com/detail.html?code=FC01083&cat_id=314

there's a nice photo tutorial for the technique; the yoyos are not made separately but in a line.

Aww, I was impatient and already bought the pattern last night, that teaches me not to jump the gun. :(
