Murder on the Blackboard is a 1940s movie based on the Stuart Palmer Hildegarde Withers mysteries. In this entry, a policeman is bashed on the head, and used as bait to trap the murderer. The movie camera closes in on him in his hospital bed, and he's chomping down on a large cigar and reading "The ABC Guide to Crochet Edges and Corners." Hilarious! And they look like nice patterns!
