Hi ladies. Still very tired today. However, I had stuff to do, do no time to rest yet. Unfortunately, my housework is still waiting for me, as is my laundry. Today was a kitchen day.

I went grocery shopping, made another batch of spaghetti sauce out of the tomatoes my brother in law age me Saturday, made stuffed green peppers for the freezer, (more of brother in laws bounty), and just for good measure browned up 5 pounds of ground beef that I got on special this morning. Dh is going to help DSIL and others move the furniture in a bit, I'm going to bake one of those stuffed peppers and sit around the rest of the evening. Work is going to be a rest after the weekend I've had!

Lee Ann, that's a pretty blanket. I haven't done much crafting at all lately. For a while I was reading nonstop, but lately I just seem to be to busy. Now that DD is moved, it ought to slow down a bit.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

'Morning, House. :)   Summer time is back with temps in the 90s and high humidity...not too unusual for us in September.

LeeAnn ~ The baby afghan is lovely!  It's truly one of the prettiest patterns I've seen and your work is beautiful!  I'm glad you were able to have some crochet time on Sunday. :yes

Cindy ~ I bet your kitchen smelled wonderful yesterday!  Just thinking about moving makes me tired.  Lol.

Hi to the rest of the House, too!

DH had an appointment yesterday morning and then he went fishing.  The lake is only 2 miles from us and they have a marina where he can fish and get a little help because of his eyes.  So I drop him off and he calls when he's ready to come home.  There are always some guys his age there, mostly talking and having a beer. ;)

Chores and paperwork for me today.  Have a good morning, everyone. :manyheart

Good morning house!

It's been busy.  My parents came out last week on Thursday and just left this morning.  So, long days between patients and helping at the house.  Lately a day doesn't go by without a trip to Home Depot.  Saturday we went to the PITT/Penn State game, which was just insane....that rivalry is a bad one.  The fans were just flat out rude (from both sides) that I was ready for it to be over by halftime!  And Pittsburghers are usually very pleasant people in general.  I felt like I was back in Philly with those fans during this game :(  Oh well.  My mom and I did a little shopping on Monday to get her sneakers for the winter, otherwise she would've been wearing her sandals in the snow!  LOL  Dad spent the last 2 days doing electrical work in the kitchen at the house, which seemed to be in rough shape.  He doesn't even understand how things were actually working the wires are so messed up :think   But, he's working through it systematically.

Thank you all for your kind words about me, my parents, and Troy :)

Mary - I'm glad there wasn't any damage from the storms.  A play doh marathon sounds quite enjoyable (minus the potential mess, lol).  That's great DH gets to go hang out with some friends and get some fishing in!

Judy - Gorgeous lapghan and your friend picked a great sofa for featuring your eagle ghan!  Glad to hear the nerve sensitivity let up.

Cindy - I hope you're feeling a little less tired today.  Cleaning/moving is a very tiring job!  I usually can't wear either my glasses or contacts too many days in a row or I find them uncomfortable, I always need to change it up a bit.  I couldn't imaging dealing with a bad box of lenses :eek

LeeAnn - Glad to hear that dd and ds are getting into groove for the year.  Did you get your soaping done over the weekend?  The baby ghan is gorgeous!

Michelle - How fun to get an overnight with GS!  I hope he didn't wear you out ;)  I was going to mention dietary intake to you in line with the Fibro, but it sounds like you're already aware.  I have to say that this is going much better than I had expected and although it's challenging, it's quite easy to make it work even when eating out :)

Joanne - Glad to hear you had a wonderfully busy week!  I hope the week goes smoothly for you.

'See' you ladies later

Hi, peeps.

Marisa, it's a good thing you're young...lol! I know your parents appreciate any help you can give them.

LeeAnn - gorgeous blanket!!!

Cindy, take care of yourself - it's harder to bounce back as we *ahem* age...as you know ;)  I'm starting to call myself old now...not just "getting old". It'l be #68 for me in Dec. :P

Mary - hi!

And I've been making myself a half granny shawl with Caron Cakes - so soft!!! It's a boring pattern, bu the colors are nice. I have the Red Velvet - I think Joanne also used that color way,

Off I go again....I got some squares from my 90 YO friend and they are screaming to be the center of a couple of baby khans. When I come up with something I'll share,

Later, gators, :manyheart

Hi again. :)

Marisa ~ It makes me smile to read your posts. :)   I'm so glad that your parents will be closer to you and your sister!  So sorry about the football game.  Rivalries are great until it gets to be too much!  And...do you still have your turtles?  We stopped at Petco the other day to get Gracie's food (with the grandsons) and they were very excited to see the turtles.

Judy ~ I remember your talking about your friend who supplies you with squares.  I hope I will still be crocheting at her age.♥♥♥  Looking forward to seeing your shawl. :yes

Have a good evening, House. :manyheart

Good afternoon house!

Now where has the week flown to?  I tell ya, yesterday was so busy that I still haven't recuperated.

Thank you all for the lovely compliments regarding the baby afghan.  My sister shared that she is pregnant!  Wow! She graduated from college over a year ago and is awaiting her state licensing for the state of Colorado to come thru.  She is a pharmacist but went to college in New Mexico and was certified in that state.  Now that she has moved back home she is starting over.  I wish her lots of luck and love.  If she has a girl the ghan will be hers, if she is having a boy I will have to get to work!   :manyheart

Mary-what's the news about the grands?  I love hearing all about them.  :)   Have you had time to get a bit of hooky time in?

Joanne-hoping that Paradise is flying by for you!  Does your Michael's store have any more of the Caron Cakes yarn?  That yarn has created quite a phenomenon...folks are loving it!

Judy-that is so sweet of your friend to make you grannies, I bet she just loves doing that.  I personally like the easy peasy grannies..the squares with a lot of color changes look so pretty but weaving in ends is my downfall.   :lol

Cindy-do you feel rested?  Is your dd all moved in?  Sometimes we work harder on our days off, don't you think?  I always say that I come into the shop to rest.

Marissa-your parents have their work cut out for them, renovating is hard work! oh my gosh!  My father in law enjoys doing home renovations, now that he is retired he has fixed/replaced/repaired just about everything in their house.  He even likes painting!  yikes!  I like cleaning but the reno part stresses me out.   :D   Are you currently working on any projects?

Woke up to sad news today, one of my ladies Nancy from my Crafty Group passed away. My heart just hurts, we had chatted yesterday afternoon.  She was excited for the Temperature Afghan to begin, she was buying a kit for her sister in-law.  She wanted to surprise her...awww..it is just so very sad.  We are still meeting tonight, am going to see if the ladies will assist me in making her husband a comfort ghan.  Nancy was also my neighbor, she and her husband had retired from California to Colorado just 2 years ago. Sad sad sad

off to the etsy land, I am a bit behind on that but will catch up today.  Hugs and warmest of wishes! :ghug

Hi LeeAnn ~ Oh, you must be going through an emotional time right now. :hug   I'm so sorry that you've lost such a good friend and neighbor.  The comfort ghan is a wonderful idea.  And such good news about your sister!  :c9

Thank you asking about Luke and Zach. :)   They both love school and can't wait to go each morning.  Zach is in preschool and goes three days a week - he wants to go "every day like Luke." :lol  Your story about your nephew sounds so much like the boys...they both love to laugh and make others laugh, too.  :yes

Only one appointment today! Lol  That and a couple of errands took a good part of the afternoon, so no crochet time yet today.

Have a good evening, friends. :manyheart

Hi there house!

I'm just doing a fly by visit today.  I'm heading out for the day since I have everything done at the office that NEEDS to be.  My microwave decided to just die on me....and of course before I heated up my lunch :(  So that'll be on the list this weekend and I'm hungry now so I'm going home to heat up my lunch, lol.

Mary - I do still have the turtles...they'll be 11 years old in November! :manyheart

LeeAnn - My dad very much dislikes it, but I enjoy it so I've been picking up that area quite a bit :)  I just started Troy's Christmas stocking and I have a temperature ghan in the works that I fell off the wagon with back in March!!!  Some dishcloths and a couple other throws that I wanted to try out and like, but don't spend much time on because they don't have an end point yet.  I do need to start a ghan for the baby Maryann just had (back in Philly)...this is her 2nd daughter :)

I should 'see' you all tomorrow!

Hello ladies. I've been out and about most of the week and my house looks like it. I should have cleaned this morning, but instead I went outlet shopping with my youngest DD. She starts her new job in October and needed suitable clothes. She found a lot! I bought a shirt and some "around the house" pants. I just got home and need to get going on that housework.....

Tomorrow morning I have an eye dr appointment and a couple of errands to run. The rest of the weekend should be free.

Have a great day.

Hi Ladies,

Judy, You've made another beautiful afghan. Your eagle looks right at home at your friends home. The one thing I love where we are at in Texas is we are close to the gulf. When I go to the store lots of times I will drive along the coast. We live on a lake, but it is different.

Marisa, I'm happy for you that you found Troy. He sounds like a gem! Good to hear things are going pretty good for your mom. I hope she continues to get better. My daughter bought a house 2 years ago and we help them with things.

LeeAnn, The baby afghan is beautiful! What will you be making with your caron cakes? I tried to get some. I went to two different Michael's. One was out and the other one didn't colors I would pick for me. I'm glad to hear this yarn will be around for awhile. Sorry to hear about you losing a friend and neighbor. It's hard! I really miss my friend/neighbor Pat.

Cindy, I'm happy to hear DD and her family have moved into there new home. Lots of hard work cleaning and getting settled in. I am sure DD loved having yours and everyone else's help.

Mary, Zach is so cute! I enjoyed my kids soccer games even when they were just young ones. It's nice you can take DH and drop him off for awhile so he can fish and catch up with the guys. They have a place like that not far from us in Texas. They actually built or are still building a new bridge over the gulf near us. The fishing spot is along the bridge. We some times will go see what there catching.

Joanne, It sounds like you had a nice time while off work.

Michelle, It's good to hear I'm not the only one that has situations like mine with a SD. She was 18 when hubby and I met. Her mom was a lot of the problems between us. Threatening her because she would help them so much, that she would cut them off. We'll see where it goes. Love your new scarf and boot cuffs. Hope your feeling better.

I went to the doctor monday. The echocardiogram showed I am improving. I'm in the range of 45 - 50 %. The doctor was happy for that. We talked about the specialist I'm going to go see on the 26th. He said I will like him. He is great. Can't get any better recommendation then that.

We have talked and facetime with DD, Maya and baby G. Hubby would like to go see them this weekend, but we having a wedding tomorrow afternoon. A friend of mines son is getting married. Our sons met when they were 4 years old and in pre kindergarten. She and I became friends soon after. The wedding is at her parents home. They live on a lake about 30 minutes from me. Were suppose to get rain tonight and tomorrow morning. So I hope it drys out in time.

I have to finish this horse scarf up. I have two more orders they want them for Christmas presents.

We found out this week on facebook that one of our friends who we were neighbors with won't be coming back. I wrote about Jim in the spring. He has a heart problem with his rhythm. She is legally blind in one eye and her other eye isn't good so she can't drive. She said she would feel so bad if something happened to him down there because she was being selfish. And she don't want to ask people to take them to the doctors if something did happen. The whole park is going to miss them. Peggy was very active in my groups and functions. The only lucky thing for us is they live in Michigan up north. So at least we can go visit them. They went to Texas and packed up there things this week. Jim will be missed by golf and card playing friends.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hi Ladies ~

Marlene ~ I'm so happy to see your post. :)   Yay for the good news from your doctor's visit!  Keeping fingers crossed that the wedding doesn't get rained on.

DH had an appointment (# 8 of 12 treatments at the urologists) ...first time ever they were running behind.  Then on the way home, we sat on the freeway for almost 2 hours.  There was a horrible wreck and we had no where to go.  Thank goodness for a full tank of gas!

Working on dinner now.  Have a good night, friends. ♥♥♥

Good morning House!

Marisa- :bday  A day late!  Bet you have lots of fun plans for the weekend!

Judy-Oohhhh laaa laaaa 80 °F?  It is cooling off here, yesterday it was 27F...brrrr...I am not ready!   :lol   It is time to pull out the winter clothing and get ready for the upcoming freeze.

Mary-two hours in traffic?  Oh my gosh, that sure makes it for a long day.  Our town is so small that we have minimal traffic, like zero..I love that!  I can't imagine.

Joanne-hoping that this Saturday finds you relaxing, bet you are with your sweet grands?

Marlene-happy happy to hear that you are healing and feeling better.  I am betting that you miss Maya and Baby G.  Was the wedding nice?  I haven't been to  a wedding in years..I can't remember the last one that I went to, isn't that something?  Sorry to hear that your friends will not be returning to the RV Park.  Changes are so hard at times.

Michelle-hope you are taking time for yourself and doing well.

It has been a tough couple of days.  The ladies and I met on Thursday for our Craft Night, I was going to cancel but wanted to tell them in person. Some have internet and others do not, I was glad that we met.  We have decided to make 2 comfort afghans.  One for Nancy's husband Rick and one for Sherry, she is a member of our group and was Nancy's sister in-law.  We cried and tried really hard to focus but it was just sad sad sad.

In between all that, I am getting ready for the Etsy Class, I am nervous but will feel better when I start gathering all of the materials and getting everything set up.

Off to work on Etsy, seems like I haven't had a chance, I have tried and tried to get new product listed but it just hasn't happened.  Hugs and warmest of wishes! :ghug

It is getting more humid and we are supposed to get rain. I put the ac on just to get the humidity out of the air. We are getting ready to eat lunch and then watch the Giants game. Of course i will be crocheting and knitting. This is my idea of a nice relaxing afternoon

Hope you are all having a nice sunday!!!!

hi peeps.

I read the posts!

Joanne, I love the color way on the scarf and shawl! I finally finished my half granny shawl and will get a pic to post soon. You must love being with Charlie! It is so hard for the third child to get individual attention.

It was so humid last night...went up the stairs and as soon as I felt the damp, shower-like air I realized DH had the window open! Blech! He didn't see the need for AC...crazy. I can't wait for winter.
