Hello hooky friends. It's a gorgeous fall day, and I'd like to spend it outside. However, I decided to do a deep fall cleaning this year, and today was the day I decided to start. I did five loads of laundry first and I also put out my fall decorations. Now I'm taking a break from bathroom number one which is this weeks project. Hopefully once mandatory extra hours are done, (if they ever are!), I can do more than one room in a week, but either way, it will get done.

Mary, things do sound in a bit of an upheaval for you. Just take a deep breath and take it one day at a time.

Marlene, I sure hope there's nothing much going on with Maya.

Joanne, sounds like you and dh had such a nice day yesterday. It's good to take time away from the busyness of daily life once in a while.

Judy, cute baby blanket.

LeeAnn, I had to take a deep breath after reading your post! :). You certainly keep busy!

My father in law fell on Sunday night and broke his leg. Just once, I wish my in-laws would have their calamities during normal waking hours. I had to work on Monday, and I couldn't get back to sleep after the phone rang. He had surgery to place some pins in it yesterday, and they hope to discharge him by Thursday. With his dementia he doesn't to,erase change well, do the less time he spends in the hospital, the better.

Well, back to the bathroom.......

Hi Ladies,

Cindy, Hope your fil leg will heal quickly.

Mary, Bummer on the order and your broken tooth. Hope the next few weeks go smoothly for you.

Judy, Cute baby blanket!

Joanne, Nice way to spend the day off shopping and at the beach with DH.

We are going to help Mary get Gordy out to the car in the morning. He has a doctor appt. As far as I know they haven't heard about his ramp being built. His front steps are like 2 feet from the sidewalk. So that is the hold up. There back porch has 5 steps down/up and that would make for a step deck. Mary has a doctor appt thursday and I'm glad of that. She was having some dizzness today. She is eating and or sleeping well.

Hope everyone has a good week!

Good morning House!

Judy-your afghan is stunning!  Love the blues, they work so well together.

Marlene-ohh baby showers are so much fun!  I bet your dd was so excited, what a blessing to be surrounded my friends and family.

Joanne-your Monday sounded like the perfect way to begin the work week.  Have you been going to your weekly Craft Night?

Cindy-how ya doing?

Mary-anything fun planned for the week?

Hello to the rest of the house!  I hope that you are all having a great week.

This week has been a flurry as usual.  Monday I received an order for 40 of the large apple soaps.  I am making good progress, have 12 left to make then it will be on to shrink wrapping, and packaging.  I designed and printed the labels late last night.  I think I can,.I think I can.   :manyheart   Last night we also had dinner out with our good friends while listening to a Fire Safety Presentation, it was a package deal.   :lol   Not much time to socialize but very informative.

I am starting a new adventure with my business.  I will be hosting my very first "Pamper Me Parties".  My first one is called "Pamper My Face", the ladies will be giving themselves a facial to include:  a soothing face mask, All Natural Lip Scrub/Balm, uplifting Under Eye Oil followed by a moisturizing White Tea Face Cream.  All of the products that we will be using are mine,..I have my cosmetology license and had been thinking of creating these parties a long time ago, figured it was time I just go for it..I have finalize all of the details and am working on the sample kits and full sized products.  The two newest products are the face mask and under eye oil.  The others have been available for the last 3 years.  Guess I better get back to the never ending paperwork.

Have a wonderful day! :ghug

Good afternoon, everyone.  I've kept up with the posts, but just seem to run out of time to answer/comment on them.   Sigh!

Keeping up with everything that's going on at DD's house leaves me tired.  It doesn't help that I missed my morning meds yesterday.  I could really tell it by the evening.  Back on track today.  I've picked up a lot of Easy Mac to have here, since if GS doesn't eat lunch at school he is starved when he gets here.  Tonight DD's busy so he'll be here for supper anyway.  She's taking native american flute lessons today and tomorrow.  Then there is a festival this weekend on native american arts.  We're all signed up to make dream catchers on Sunday and I'm signed up for a mandala class on Saturday.  DD and GS are going to join a drumming group while I'm in class on Saturday.  There are all sorts of things to do and see so it should be a busy but interesting weekend.

Judy, I love the way the baby blanket turned out.

I finished the quick and easy shawl yesterday and pulled out another one that needs to be finished and am working on it.  DD's cats got into the yarn so it was quite a mess for most of yesterday.  I'm finally beyond that part and the rest should go a lot faster.  DD and I are going to have a booth together at a craft show in November, so I have to get cracking on shawls which is my contribution to our booth.  She's taking fiber and some of the yarn that she's spun.

LeeAnn, you are one busy lady.  Your party sounds like fun.

Wishing you all a good day.   :ghug

Hi ladies. Wow, was it busy at work today. I'm exhausted. Malus I had a meeting after work.

LeeAnn, your idea for the pamper parties sounds great. I wish you a lot of success with them.

Linda, you sure are keeping busy! Your upcoming weekend sounds really great.

Too tired to say anymore.....

Quickie here...I read through the posts....

My brother came yesterday from NC...on his motorcycle. Left this morning for the next family visit on the list. This was taken just before he drove off

Hi Ladies,

Judy, Nice pic of you and your brother. What a ride from NC.

Linda, Sounds like a fun weekend coming up.

Cindy, Hope you have the weekend off so you can rest up.

Hubby had an appt at the VA yesterday then we went by to his mom and took her out to dinner. Today I picked Payton and Jocelyn up after school and met DD afterwards. I noticed Jocelyn eyebrows were not the same. She said her plucked them. I highly doubt it. Her mothers never looked like this. Barely any on the left side and almost normal on the right. I asked if she waxed them and she said no. I told her a story about a friend of mine that plucked hers when she was young and they never grew back she had to draw them on every day. Last weekend I asked about the little short hairs in her bangs. She said the stylist did that. I think the stylists name is Jocelyn. lol

Tonight we went out to dinner at a bar. The band was setting up and we decided to stay and listen. They were good but boy were they loud. My ears sounded like I had been to a concert.

Maya's blood test come back and she high cholesterol of all things to have. But glad we found out now before something could of happened. No reason for the headaches though. The doctor did recommend giving her an allergy pill every night and to keep track of when she has a headache.

Maya will be changing some of her eating habits. She isn't to happy but it's for her own good. I will call her tomorrow and talk to her. She's a picky eater.

I frogged the baby blanket and started over. I'm just making it 36" by 36" or near that size.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!

Good Morning, House.  I'm playing catch-up again. ;)

Judy ~ Your baby afghan is very cute!  I'm so glad your brother came for a visit. Now I know why you needed to make a monster 'ghan...he is so tall!

Marlene ~ So sorry that you had to frog the baby 'ghan, but I bet the new one will be perfect!  Jocelyn sounds like she is exerting her independence. :lol   I hope Maya's headaches improve. ♥

Cindy ~ I hope your FIL is okay.

Linda ~ Your weekend plans sound fabulous!  Yay for finishing another shawl. :yes

LeeAnn ~ Your new business plans are great...I can see you having your own company one of these days. :)

Hi to those I may have missed, too. :)

I'm getting out by myself this morning!  Just a few errands and groceries, but I could use some me time.  Have a great day! :manyheart

Good morning ladies. Kind of chilly here at the moment. We are going out to run a few errands today, and we may go to Grand Haven and walk the boardwalk and have dinner. We'll see what the day brings.

Work was very busy, (as usual), yesterday. Last night I went to a 31 purse party at my sister in laws. I got a couple of birthday presents, and a tote for myself.

Marlene, that's funny about Jocelyn. My sister did the same thing one year before school pictures. My mom bought the pictures anyhow,, even though she looked hilarious. Mom said it would be a good memory! My sister says that when the teacher said "who got a new haircut fir their pictures", she proudly raised her hand. I guess she thought her haircut was pretty cute!

Mary, hope your time alone proves to be rejuvenating, even if it's just to run errands.

Judy, I had to chuckle a bit at the picture of you and your brother. He makes you look mini!

Have a great day, ladies.

Good morning House!

Judy-loved your pic of you and your brother. How neat that he rode in to see you.  I always wanted  to have an older brother growing up, but that was impossible.   :lol

Mary-oh time alone? Why nothing is better than that, imho.  I really do enjoy being by myself.  What will you be doing with your me time?

Marlene-had to giggle at your post about Jocelyn's eyebrow.  My dd decided that she wanted to have bangs, so I took her in as I knew she was going to be a bit on the difficult side.  She had them cut and didn't like them, she begged me to trim them..three trims later they were really short.  She had to start her freshman year of high school with really extremely short bangs.  They are finally outgrowing but she was so insistent that she needed them trimmed every week.  I think it was a lesson learned.   :yes

Cindy-hoping that you have the weekend off to get a bit of R & R in.

Hello to the rest of the house, hoping you all have a fabulous weeekend!

Still plugging away on orders and getting ready for the Pamper My Face Party.  Pam the massage therapist and I just finished mixing up the face mask and under eye oil..whew!  We have tested both out and are confident that they will work but will continue with our testing just to be 100% positive.

Here at the shop today, just now sat for a minute to catch up on emails.  Going to have a bite to eat then plug away on the afghan.  I am almost finished.  So excited it is a small baby ghan but it will be nice to get it finished.

Talk to you all soon! :ghug

Hi. Everyone....

Lee Ann, I cringe at some of my school pictures!

Cindy, when standing next to my brothers and cousin I do feel so tiny! The other two are about 6'5" it was tough getting holiday pictures, even as kids...lol!

Hi all.  I love reading the stories about childhood hair cutting.  I seem to remember Sue and I "trimming" eachother's hair along with our dolls' hair. :lol

Cindy ~ I hope you had a wonderful day!  Were you able to go the boardwalk?

LeeAnn ~ I love making baby 'ghans, but I'm alway happy when it's close to the finish line. :)   Your new products sound lovely!

Judy ~ Were either of your parents tall?  My dad was 6'3" and mom was 5'3" and the four of us range from 5'6" to 5'11."  You are such a cutie. ♥  Are you feeling okay now?

I spent 5 hours away today and it was good.  Hobby Lobby was calling me, so I bought lots of yarn. (my stash is now a mountain)  I walked around one of our malls and only bought a new robe, but it was fun.  Then I stocked up on groceries and came home.  I am going to do this at least every couple of weeks...my great escape! :lol

Have a good evening, everyone. :manyheart

Mary, it sounds like you had a great day! I have 2 gift cards calling me. One for B and N, the other for AC Moore. I really need to straighten out my yarn closet so I can see what I have.

My dad was 65'4" and mom was about 5'3" or so. I obviously take after mom...lol!

The eclipse last night was amazing!  And I woke up to a huge full moon shining into our bedroom. :)

I hope everyone had a good weekend.  We're still having above normal temps for late September - I'm really ready to turn off the ac for a while!

Have a great morning! :manyheart

We had clouds when I tried to look at the moon last night - I love the full moon.

When we went to the flea market yesterday morning, which is right on the bay where people launch their boats, there were puddles all over the place. Found out that because of the super moon and normal high tide the flea market people had to wait hours till the water went down before they could set up! Amazing sight, seeing the tethered boats riding so high as we drove into the parking lot.

Have a good day my friends

'Afternoon, everyone!  I hope all is well with you guys. ♥♥♥

I'm home all day today and it feels wonderful to be accomplishing things for a change.  I've put out a few fall things, but it sure doesn't feel like fall here.

My dentist wants me to see a specialist next Monday and then they will discuss a plan for my treatment.  I know I'm in good hands and feel a bit calmer about all this. :)

Crochet time for me this afternoon!

Good afternoon House!

Mary-Woohooo for the new yarn and bath robe!  What new projects do you have in mind?  A day of crocheting sounds superb.

Judy-The full moon sure was pretty!  We were able to see it perfectly from our bedroom window.  My kiddos loved going outdoors to see it.  I am a peanut..only 5"..can't reach a single thing.  I have stepping stools and chairs everywhere.  In the kitchen, closet and here at the shop.  It is tough being so short but I guess it could be worse.   :manyheart

Hello to the rest of the house!

Had another big soapy order, happy to say that they are all done..out the door and in the mail..whew!  Also worked on my long to do list, it is getting smaller.. :clap   Off to check on the second etsy shop.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Good day to all....

Wow, so much has been going on here.  Hope this finds everyone having a wonderful day and enjoying some fall weather.  Our weather is mostly rainy and dreary, a lot of moisture coming up from the gulf.

Still trying to declutter, It is a slow process around here.  I visit the donation center so often I think the lady almost knows me by sight.  My son was here last weekend and he took a lot of stuff to his house, but he still need to clean out his bedroom.  How do we accumulate so much?????

I finished one prayer shawl and made 2 mesh shawls for cousins which I will get delivered Thursday. They are paid projects so I hope they are to their satisfaction.  Not my favorite pattern but what they chose.

Husband is not feeling good today so I will be making chicken rice soup for supper.  I always like soup, especially on a dreary day.  Now that it's fall I will be making it more often.

Off to put the soup on.  Then maybe some crochet time.  Have a great day my friends!

HI ladies. Nothing much going on here.

I took my MIL out for lunch and to Joannes for yarn today. I also went and got my flu shot. I was going to run errands but I didn't feel like it anymore. FIL is doing much better and was discharged back to the nursing home this afternoon. He's still really confused, much more than usual, and not eating much, but it's slowly improving.

Jill, I like soup a lot too, and I'm glad that soup weather is back.

We weren't able to see the eclipse here. It was too cloudy to even see the moon. It's been drizzly and dreary since Sunday.

Have a great evening ladies.

Hi Ladies,

Mary, Way to go on the yarn purchase and the new robe. Come to Michigan and you will get fall weather here. We are going from nice warm weather to cool temps quickly.

Cindy, Good news on your fil. Hope he continues to improve.

LeeAnn, I'm 5'4" sometimes I need a stool or chair to. A wooden spoon comes in handy to.

Jill, I look forward to the cool temps to cooking comfort food.

Judy, My sister remembers when she was five my other sister and I cutting her hair short as it was longer than ours. lol Funny I don't remember that. I have 3 siblings shorter than me and 4 taller than me. I've shrunk and inch.

We went to the races saturday. My sister and two of her children and there families were going. My ex-bil races as does my nieces husband. But only the bil raced. He has a chevy nova and boy does that thing go fast. He did 165 mph in 8.35. There was only a couple of cars doing near his time. We all had a fun time and the weather was perfect.

We have been up to Gordy and Marys a couple of times. Put somethings in the basement for her. Helped them roll there change up. Checked out the furance filter or we can pick up a replacement one.

Hubby is going golfing tomorrow with a couple of friends. I will have a me time day. I'll get some cleaning done.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Good Morning!

LeeAnn ~ Yay for orders!  I know there is lots of work involved with making your products...everything is so nice. :)

Marlene ~ Enjoy your day!  Even cleaning is easier with no interruptions. Lol  I hope all is well with your DD and Maya. :yes

Jill ~ Add me to the soup lovers' list. :)  I love making large amounts and having a variety in the freezer.  DH is fine with soup as long as I make cornbread. :lol

Cindy ~ I'm glad your inlaws are doing okay.  Hopefully, FIL's confusion will lessen now that he's back in a familiar place.  Are you working on anything now?  I really need to finish something instead of adding more wips.  ;)

Hi to the rest of Our House!

Good morning. Sunny and chilly here. It was 53 in the house when DH got up, as we left Windows open!

Fil returned to the nursing home yesterday. Bil, sil and mil went to visit him and said that he didn't recognize any of them. I wasn't sure if he recognized me on Monday, but he asked me how mil was doing so I assumed that he knew who I was. We will stop by tonight.

I am doing laundry, and Neato is vacuuming. I need to come up with something for dinner bi have a bunch of leftover grilled chicken. I might just toss that into a big salad. I'm feeling lazy! I need to pick up a few things at the grocery store. Hopefully we can do that after the inks visit tonight.

If anyone needs an idea for leftover yarn, I ran into this CAL on Facebook this morning. It's not meant to be a stash buster, but it certainly looks like it would work as one.

Hope everyone has a great day.
