Thank you for the link Judy. I've shared it with dd as well. Well DH has finally gotten up and is now showering. Going to head to the beach to take in the ocean air for a little bit on this glorious day and then b&n.

'Morning, House.

Joanne ~ Lots of hugs coming from me to your family. :hug   Just my thoughts...since the little ones are too young to understand about suffering or pain, I think the book or telling a "happy place story" would be good.  DD wasn't as young when we lost the two she was raised with, but she was able to realize what was happening.  No matter what, it's never easy and my thoughts and prayers are with you all. :manyheart

I feel almost human this morning.  Lots of sleep again yesterday - I can't remember the last time I felt this bad.  Lots of laundry and stuff to catch up on!

We got the book that Judy recommended and it is perfect!!! We went to the bay and stayed for a couple hours. It was glorious out. And I got some reading done which I've been neglecting on favor of knitting or crocheting.

Now it's time to make dinner grilled chicken and salad. :-)

Hi to everyone.  It's a beautiful day out today here too.  It's been a quiet weekend with time to myself and a lot of resting.

Joanne, it's been a long time since I've had to tell a youngster that their pet is dying.  It's going to Heaven where it won't hurt anymore.  We would bury the pet in the yard and if it was a larger animal we would plant a special plant there to mark the spot.  Something along those lines.  Hugs  :ghug  coming to all of you.  It's never easy to lose a pet, but the love they give us is worth it in my book.

Hope you are all having a good weekend.  Love to you all.   :manyheart

Hi everyone, just quickly stopping by to say hi, it's been a busy weekend, and tomorrow it's back to work.

Joanne, we lost a couple of dogs when our kids were small they had a hard time at first, but they forgotvrelatively quickly. All of our dogs are buried on our property and we bought a special plant for each one. Also if you don't watch it, your WIP collection is going to be bigger than mine! ;)

We had an earthquake yesterday. I was doing laundry in the basement and suddenly the house was shaking and the furnace and washer were rattling. It was an odd feeling.no serious damage around here as far as I know.

Hi Ladies,

Mary, Glad your feeling better and that DH had good news on his test results.

Linda, Sounds like a good visit for you with the doctor. So glad DGS also had good results at the doctors.

Judy, Your moving right along on the graph ghan.

Joanne, I am so sad to hear about Bella. We lost are chocolate lab that we had 14 years. Prayers for all of you!

Cindy, We got home and a picture was on the floor. I was like what is this about. It landed about 4 foot diagonally from where it was on a shelf above the doorway. Looking there was a couple of other things that should of fallen but didn't. Nothing else was disturbed. I talked to the neighbors and he said the houses shook here too. It was a picture of Payton, Jocelyn and there three other siblings. Hubby told me it was there mother trying to rattle me. I was glad the neighbor confirmed the earthquake was here too.

How's your mother in-law doing?

We went to Melaine and Brian's this weekend. We went about 30 miles of garage saleing. We all found bargins. Thanks for the prayers for Gordy. We are going to go see him tomorrow. Hope everyone has a good week!

Me again. I have to tell you a story from Maya's daddy. He called us saturday afternoon right after the earthquake happened. Last weekend he mounted there tv on the wall. This weekend right when the earthquake happened and the house was shaking, he was drilling a hole in the wall to install something that covers all the wires. He thought he did something to cause and was scared to death. He said he got the dog and ran outside and the neighbors did the same thing too. The they found out about the earthquake. I was sure he was going to say he fried the house. DD was at work and she said everything in the store was shaking. They live less then 10 miles from where the earthquake started.

Lol. My wip collection IS creeping up there!!! Glad to hear that the earthquake didn't bring any damage!! Scary. That happened about 2 years ago at work. There was an earthquake that was a couple of states away and we felt it here. I was at work and all of a sudden, things started shaking and the floor felt like it was moving. A strange sensation for sure

morning peeps!

An earthquake felt in MIchigan...that has to be a rare thing. That is, unless fracking is going on. Oklahoma is having quakes now and they are sure that's the reason for them.

Cindy, I was wondering what Sophie thought about the quake...It definitely is a wierd feeling.

Usual Monday here...

Later, gators.

Good Monday morning. :)   I was so surprised to read your posts about the earthquake!  I'm glad everyone is okay. ♥

Marlene ~ Loved reading what your hubby said about your ex DIL. :lol    And poor Maya's dad!  Talk about a coincidence!

Joanne ~ I'm glad you found the book. :)

Linda ~ Your weekend sounds like a good one!  I hope GS has a good day today. :yes

We have a lot of small earthquakes in the DFW area and they are now saying that many of them are due to all the fracking.  We haven't felt any in our neighborhood yet.

DH has an appt. with his eye specialist today.  We only go about every six months now, but he wants to continue to do the scans and keep us informed of any changes on the research end.

I came out of work to a dead battery. Apparently, my ez pass feel off the windshield and must have hit the emergency flasher button on its way to the floor. I opened my car door after work, and heard the click, click click of the flashers. Turned them off and went to start the car. Nada, nothing, kaput. I was going to call AAA but one of my friends was walking by and asked me why I was standing outside of my car. She said she knew another friend was getting off at 5 and she thought he had cables....plus he knows a lot about cars. He was able to start it and saved me what would have been a long wait for triple a. I won't be keeping the ez pass on the windshield except when I'm on roads where I need to use it. I don't need it on my daily commute

Got home around 6 25 so opted to skip craft club. Oh well, there's always next Monday!!!

Watching hockey now. Rooting for Judy and my son in laws team, the rangers.

Hi Ladies,

Today we went to see Gordy. We ran into Mary and there son Tim leaving. Today wasn't a good day. Mary got a call at 7:30 this morning they had to revive Gordy. So she had an appt with the doctor and Gordy. The doctor told him there isn't no more they can do for him. Mary had to do a lot of talking to him to get him to sign the paper that they won't revive him if they find him unresponsive. They left and we went to see him. He was pretty upset. They want to move him to a different part of place (it's not a hospital its a rehab and nursing home ?) he does not want to go there. But earlier today they didn't have a room available. Not sure what is going to happen. He was pretty tired he said he didn't sleep well last night kept having nightmares. He was falling asleep so we left and told him we will be back tomorrow. Please keep him in your prayers.

Good morning

Marlene...prayers for Gordy.  :(

Not much today. I;m getting the three stitches taken out - finally, and have a dishcloth to mail to my KISS swap partner. It was a great pattern - symmetrical and really nice. It will be my go-to pattern from now on. Here's the site where I found it. I'll post a pic of the one I made after my partner gets it.

Good morning.  I hope your days are going well.

Marlene, continued prayers for Gordy and his family.

Color me sad today.  :reyes   Yesterday started well and ended horribly.  DGS had to be put in the hospital psych ward following a blow up that had DD and me struggling to restrain him from hurting himself for over an hour.  He fought us the entire time.  He's incredibly strong.  Some things  came out at the ER that were very upsetting.  The fact that he's been bottling that up and trying to deal with it on his own just breaks my heart.  We didn't finish all the paperwork until around 3:00 this morning and then it took a while for us to decompress so it was 4;00 or 4:30 before we went to bed.  DD just talked to the doctor on the phone and they will be increasing two of his meds to get them to a better level for his size and weight.  This is so very hard.  Poor DD is beside herself.  Leaving him there was so painful, but we both know it's the right thing to do.  I am so glad that I'm here to help support DD.  I held her in my arms while she  cried after we got back here.  It's shaping up to be a long week.

Hope your days go well.  Thanks for letting me vent.

Oh, Linda -  how sad...  I can understand that with the way boys grow so fast the meds would need to be adjusted. You're there for DD, that's what's important. I'm thinking it'll be a day to day thing as far as being in the hospital goes.

Please be in touch whenever you need to - and if you want to email me in addition, please don't hesitate. I check it all the time.

Linda, I'm so sorry. This has to be so very difficult for your family, prayers for all if you, especially for DGS. Hopefully it won't take too long to get his meds adjusted and DGS back home.

Thank you for your prayers.  Part of the time I'm okay and part of the time I just want to cry a river.  I'm trying to keep myself distracted.  His uncle is going up to see him this afternoon and we'll see him this evening.  We'll take his favorite blanket and the books we've been reading to him so bedtime will be at least a little more normal.

Linda, the blanket and books are a great idea. Regardless of the age everyone appreciates their favorite blanket, especially when in a hospital. You're a strong lady, and I know you'll be their rock through all this.

OH, Linda my heart goes out to you and Joy. Prayers for GS. It is so hard to go through, but you will and it's so good that you are close to dd and not still in GA. Sometimes these med adjustments take a while, and it can be frustrating. At least he is getting the treatment he needs and hopefully soon, he will be back home!!! Great idea to bring his favorite blanket and book. Hang in there!!!

Hugs !

Good morning. It's a gloomy drippy sort of day here. Yesterday was the same, and cold besides. I think it's supposed to clear up later today.

Dgs #2 spent the day with us as his birthday gift. He built a wooden flower box with Dh, and then did crafts and played games with me. He chose McDonalds for breakfast, (surprise, surprise), and a local burger joint for dinner.

Since it's gloomy here, the house looks clean...no signs of dust! So I will probably craft a large part of today. I'm working tomorrow.

Linda, hope dgs had a good night. I'm sure it was a comfort to have his books and blanket.

Marlene, I'm sorry you can't be at the meeting. Sorry that Gordy has to go through this.

Well, off to my household chores, and then on to the pile of craft WIPS.
